QFlink NSW changes including a lounge for Tamworth

Had pleasure of using TMW lounge yesterday. 15 minutes between entry to lounge and boarding call.

Lounge entry is with access code and I was informed the codes are changed daily. I presume if arriving pax wanted to access the lounge, he/she could go to check-in counter and flash their QC/Gold or higher level membership card and ask for the access code for that day. Then, it's a matter of passing through security checks and accessing lounge using the code.

The lounge is not overly spacious...seating near the window (facing car park) has sign suggesting keeping it for users who made have greater mobility needs.

I hope the Wi-Fi is in place soon. There's a sign: "... We anticipate being able to provide wireless internet very shortly and apologise for any inconvenience."

You must have had code 2202E, I departed yesterday also on QF 2003 10.10am.

To early for the open bar but nice and does the job, still haven't tried arrival access both Monday's I have flown into Narrabri on Brindabella.

still no wifi yet but time will tell how busy it gets, I was one of about 4 in there that time of day and was busy for the small space.

Indeed. I was on 4:00 pm flight (on slow Q300).

With upto six daily flights each way between SYD and TMW I guess the lounge could be busiest for first and last flights of the day.

I don't know why that sign is still up - the Wi-Fi has been in place for almost two weeks now. The SSID is "QANTAS-Lounge", I think.

Got to use this lounge with the family last week.

My wife put the kettle on and offered to make tea for anyone who wanted one, 3 takers. The cheese flavoured corn kernels were a hit with #1 son.

We were too early for the bar but it wouldn't be too hard to put a serious dent in the dainty beer and wine allocation at the end of a long day.

We arrived an hour before our flight and had to wait another 30 minutes for the security team to come back from smoko and xray us through to the lounge. Not a big deal at 9am but I would be annoyed if it was late afternoon and I knew there was free booze on the other side waiting for me.

Overall a nice experience.

I am using this lounge on a weekly basis - usually an early morning thing.

Generally, I appreciate it, and it's good. Basic, but good.

The biggest problem I have is that they constantly run out of milk for the milk frother for the coffee. However, they have started (although not always) leaving extra milk in the fridge so you can fill it up without going out to see them.

I'm glad it's there.

Although the moment Virgin offer a flight out of Tamworth at 7pm or so, I will be skipping over to them. An Friday extra night at home each week will be worth it, rather than not being able make the 5:05pm flight out on a Friday night and having to fly out at 6:30am Saturday.

Oh, and an earlier flight into Tamworth on Monday morning, too - getting in at 7:30am, please!
