QFs inflight entertainment system the worlds best ?

I accept that. Do I think we will agree on this issue as it stands, no. But this is the ever changing world of aviation so it could all be different in 6 months anyway.

Some Airline performance indicators could be regarded as objective, such as safety (eg MTB hull/life loss).

In flight Entertainment systems are a mixture of both objective and subjective measures. The equipment, such as screen size and definition, can be measured with some objectivity. But content! That will always be subjective, and whether we measure as Australians flying or against what we might think the rest of the world might measure, I believe it will always be down to a subjective judgement. Even a world-wide survey of content will be based on subjective measures depending on audience participation.

That's my point.
This is an Australia centric forum, and most people on here are Australian. But the fact is that Australia has a very small population in relation to the rest of the world

Except of course the awards that Qantas have won (and EK) are international awards. So think the point above is moot.

Is there even a single person that agrees with this lol ?
Does it really matter?

For what it is worth I think Qantas IFE is one of the best. It is user friendly which helps. And the content is quite good although I am not sure why they went with touch screen only on the A380 version.

I have not tried that many airline's IFE.

Cathay's IFE is difficult to use. I find the Sudoku and pass the time with that.

Malaysia Airlines IFE on regional aircraft is almost non existent.

Thai and Singapore are OK.

Reviving an old thread.

I had 2 Qstreaming iPads fail on my short MEL-CBR flight yesterday. No major drama, it is only a short flight.

I normally prepare for meetings outbound, and think/review/capture point from my meetings on return flights.

But the one time I wanted to relax and watch a mindless sitcom, computer says NO. The system needs to be more robust/reliable.

Oddly, first iPad bricked part way through my show... I got another iPad which duly froze at the exact same point in the show. Can a corrupt file, streamed to the viewer, actually break it ? Malware ?

Personally I find SQ > CX > QF in J. However they are quite close. I've never travelled on EK...

I recently travelled on Dragon Air from Hong Kong to Siem Reap in Y on one of their new aircraft and they had the CX system rolled out with larger screens. A great regional hard product in my view.
