Now signed up for the challenge... Great idea by AA... by doing this they are ensuring they will be my default airline for US travel...

Seems to be but I will be checking the BP twice... Should be fun when I turn up to the QF J counter with an AA Flight number, QP card (to show eligibility to use said line) and AA FFP number
And the real amazing thing was that when calling the US number there was no computer at all... straight through to a person... rather shocking actually!
See post #36 - there is some conflict in the T&C but "Qantas Service" covers it nicely.Back to the OT..
While I agree the T&C state that I should not have had access ...

(+ you have provided further anecdotal evidence confirming application.)
Further evidence was I was admitted into the OW lounge at LAX with no problems at all... once again YMMV
Oh and the lounge was absolutely packed to the rafters... I wish I could make OW Emerald and get into the FCL!
Mind you, from where I was seated there was a door connecting the two (via the kitchen) and it did not look that amazing (not like pictures I have seen from MEL QF FCL)
The question is: IS the OW lounge a AC lounge for the purposes of access? What about A/C members flying AA Y from TBIT?
AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements
There are no AA operated flights departing from TBIT, only codeshares. I expect a non-status AC member would have access to the Qantas Business Class lounge if flying on an AA codeshare operated by Qantas out of TBIT. An AA Platinum member will have access by virtue of being OneWorld Sapphire.yanks have a pathological love of Y class travel, ironic given they are the least race that would fit there comfortably
