Good thinking 99 :)

I started to enter all my OW lounge visits and realised that if we all did that, the calendar would be very full and too hard to read, so just stuck to QC's.

**EDIT**

P.S Flashware

I have moved my Mar 4 trip out by one week, so unfortunately I will not be able to get you into the F lounge

No worries, BCL it is ;)

Strange, I'm yet to be denied access to the calendar website from the 20 odd visits I've made :?: .

I've had more problems with access to AFF or FT (or even QF). ...
The whole idea is great in concept; it's just they need better hardware for the site. While I have not been denied access, it simply takes too long eventually load and to do anything.

I just did some timings:
  1. Click Lindsay's link: austfreqflyer_qc: February 2007 - 50 seconds until the Feb pages loads.
  2. Click Mar - 45 seconds.
  3. Click a date (e.g. 9th march - 55 seconds for the page to finish loading.
  4. Enter details, click [submit] - 75 Seconds

There you go, it took 4 minutes to make my 9th March Entry; this on industry strength WAN. Dial up might be next to impassible.

Performance isnt too bad for me today - just dont have mant QP meetings to list - lots of AC...

I think you need to look at your end of the process. I just did the same thing and each page loaded in less than 4 seconds. and that is from my home ADSL connection, via an IPSec tunnel to the USA and out to the Internet from there. So even included the IPSec overhead.

Still won't load for me at all, tested on Amcom Fibre, Amnet ADSL, iiNet ADSL (using different PCs, and different DNS servers). Very odd..

OK - I just tweaked my flight planning spreadsheet et viola ;)

Code:
Date	Location	Lounge	From	Dep time
17-Mar-07	SYD	QP	07-00	08-35
17-Mar-07	HKG	CX J	14-50	16-25
17-Mar-07	LAX	AC	13-50	21-25
17-Mar-07	MIA	AC	05-05	07-45
21-Mar-07	MCO	AC	19-30	20-45
24-Mar-07	LGA	AC	08-00	09-00
24-Mar-07	ORD	AC	10-40	14-45
29-Mar-07	JFK	AC	08-00	10-05
29-Mar-07	BGI	NFI	14-40	18-55
31-Mar-07	LGW	BA J	13-00	15-00
03-Apr-07	LCA	Sun	14-30	16-50
03-Apr-07	LHR	CX J	19-50	22-35
04-Apr-07	HKG	CX J	17-50	21-10

Takes about 15 seconds to load calendar over our work TPG ADSL connection.

Can sometimes take up to 45 seconds, other times no connection at all.

For a test I tried through dial up. The first two steps above took a bout 15 seconds; the second crashed with an error after 3 minutes; never got to step 4. So the site seems quite unreliable.

Anyway, until some consistency arrives FOR ME it's too much of a pain for to use ...

Hmm, strange. I am consistently getting sub 4 seconds on all pages from that site. Never had anything more than 5 seconds. I have tested both via my IPSec tunnel and USA gateway and direct to my ADSL ISP. Both tracertoute at about 15-18 hops (until their firewall blocks) and around 410ms consistently.

The only thing I do a little different to most people is run a reduced MTU on my PC due to issues with firewalls blocking the ICMP Fragmentation Required return packets and to improve the efficiency of LLQ.
