After breakfast I had few hours sleep. FA made the bed on the seat next to me. It was very comfortable.

It's no doubt the most comfortable bed out all three ME carriers. Since I was alone in the cabin there was nothing to interrupt my sleep but I wonder how it will be with full cabin and no doors to block potential noise.

Woke up an hour before landing and went to check out the main bar. On the way passed through J cabin.

Although QR offer one of the best J products out there it just looks so underwhelming compared to F.

The bar looks very nice but was crowded and found it hard to take good photos.

Atmosphere was great with happy pax drinking and talking (mostly in French). Installing bar in J is awesome idea and can make the difference between another boring business flight and a flight to remember.

It was soon time to land in CDG. 7 hours is too short to fully experience this product but when the F crew came to say goodbye I suddenly realised what sets QR apart from all the rest - service. I was amazed by the high level of service. Both EK & EY are great airlines with fine F cabins but usually don't provide memorable service. This QR crew (Indian purser, Thai and Russian FAs) were so kind yet professional with attention to details, it felt like I'm on an Asian carrier.

Touchdown, welcome to Paris!

All in all QR F is fantastic overall product from F lounge experience to onboard hard and soft products but it is not perfect. Few things were missing:

- Chauffeur pick up/drop off. QR main competitors (EK & EY) offer chauffeur so they should as well IMO.
- Boarding directly from the F lounge. QR don't have too many flights with F cabin so they can make sure all will board from Al Safwa.
- Pyjamas on day flights. IMO PJs should always be offered in mid-long haul F regardless of departure time as most airlines do. DOH-CDG is 7 hours flight departing quite early so make sense some pax will like to have few hours sleep.
- Better food menu. QR should offer more all day dining options on top of breakfast. While the wine list was great I wasn't impressed by the food on this route.

The above "negatives" are all minor and will not prevent me from booking this exact same route in the future and I'm super excited to fly CDG-DOH-SYD in few months to experience the long haul product.

I have a QR F flight in a few weeks CDG/DOH 21 hour in Doha then continuing F to to BKK

Its a QF Points around teh world F ticket

A couple of questions

1/ do we qualify for chauffeur drives at either end of each sector?
2/ Can we use lounge on arrival in DOH before we go to hotel I've booked in town
3/ how long is the check in process for F at DOH I'd like ot have a 2 hour visit in teh lounge before departure?

1/ QR don’t offer chauffeur drive AFAIK.
2/ Yes, QR has dedicated arrivals lounge.
3/ QR has fancy dedicated F check in similar to EY and SQ, there will be little to no waiting at all.

Thanks Boomy

Is the arrivals lounge worth a drop by?

What facilities does it offer
