Ex-MAN and EDI are less well priced but still quite good.

Only QR and from 01/05, BA at this stage. It may take a while before they start to accrue to all FFPs but I would assume they will eventually.

Either way these fares are good enough that FFP earn doesn't matter too much!

However, if you fly out of Istanbul (IST) to ADL, it will be in I class for not a lot more $ and will earn 280 SC, which is not wonderful, but not to be sneezed at.

I look at the prices ex LHR, and my blood starts to boil. We in Australia are just being played for fools. Since the Labor Party are offering Royal Commissions on those thiefs the BANKS. Why not a Royal Commission on Air Fares.

Neither CX nor AA will earn with Qatar R class (according to their websites).

I agree, but it's really a matter of charging what the market will bear. While people are prepared to pay the airlines' asking price there will be no incentive to reduce fares.

As for me, I would never pay more than $3-4,000 for a return business class trip to Europe. It may mean a little less convenience than flying QF or EK, but I still fly on quality airlines (not all on the one ticket though) and I enjoy the travel .

It also gives me the opportunity to have a few stopovers on the way, and I'm never in a particular hurry to get there. But others' needs will vary.

If you're after a QR fare that will book into I class, there's a BHX-ADL return fare for ~4850 AUD. Bonus is that it has a longer maximum stay (6 months).

Not bad considering you get both 787 and A350 in the one trip. Just need to tag on a connecting flight home to SYD.

On Qatar, it is a fair experience. They only use them on short flights, and while the 2x2x2 configuration didn't excite me, overall it was OK.

QR's fleet page is showing full flat beds on all 39 of their A320s. A321s still have the regular recliner seats.
