Question about the forum software

I love this forum .

Our capacity to go OT and then some is simply amazing. You just never know what is going to be discussed when you open a thread.

I wonder what is the greatest number of different topics covered in a single thread (just to go even more OT).

Did someone mention that Australian Airlines is flying direct to coughet 2 times a week again. Thought I heard but wasn't too sure.

Seriously I think the thread that went OT the most and in the most weirdest of ways was "Lindsay's 1,000th post" thread. We found out about metric time, dark suckers (notice I did not say light bulbs) etc. Shame admin had to lock it, apparently we were getting carried away and the thread served it's purpose. :roll:

This is the first seriously OT topic I have seen on AFF. I am used to it though, as I am a regular on FT, where the QF forum is in disarray if a thread stays on-topic for more than about 10 posts...

Good to see you are being edumacated here at AFF . But you didn't mention my theory of electricity. 2006 will see the revealing of my theory of gravity and my proof that Earth really is flat.

Gravity is just a myth and the Earth is really flat. We all know they faked those pictures from the moon of what the "Earth" supossedly looks like.

Not at all like him. My theories are sound scientific fact and not need to waste the time of a court of law to try to have them recognised. If other people don't want to believe my theories, that is their right and I will not be upset. However, I do expect to be granted the right to put my arguement forward over a beer or 3 - preferbaly 3 since my theories seem to make so much more sense after at least 3 beers, which is not surprising since most were developed under such circumstances.
