I am 11000 points from the 150000 required this year to earn 2 lounge passes, what might be an economical and quick way to make up the difference in the next 4 weeks. Any help appreciated.

Qantas wine bonus points offers.
Points are taking forever to post for me ex Qantas Wines. And the agents in the Philippines are quite unhelpful (well, at least those I've spoken to).

Credit card spend ? Gift cards ? Prepay bills ?

QF wine. Mine have posted within a week pretty consistently.

Though what is the value proposition here? Is the goal to obtain two lounge passes or PC?

the cost to attain the points required are probably more than the value of the passes.

imo.

I find that the points generally post on the same day that the wine is dispatched. If there is a delay to the points posting, could it be that the wine hasn't been shipped yet? (I would also note that wine isn't normally shipped on weekends/public holidays.)

I purchased some Qantas Wine Last month - points inc. bonus arrived into account the next day.

That has been my experience up to recently. My latest purchase was on 30-Dec, the wine was shipped and arrived on 6-Jan. A week after receiving the wine I still haven't got the 20K+ points.

Wine arrived last Sunday. Quite happy with that.

The 21,250 points are nowhere to be seen. The disinterested person I spoke to in the Philippines said that I have to wait at least 15 working days before they would even think about doing anything.

Doesn't reflect well on Qantas, and will make me think twice about spending money with Qantas Wine in the future.

No one has experience over 4 weeks delay for points to post from Qantas wine? Then it might be a safe bet for OP.

Or maybe is there some other activity?

That's a shame. I haven't noticed these kinds of delays before over many orders.

The T&Cs state "Allow up to 6 weeks for Qantas Points to appear in your Qantas Frequent Flyer account". Sounds like the 15 working days was just a guess by the agent.

I've had 1/4 of my Qantas Wine purchases over the last 6 months never arrive after being "shipped" and many of them don't even log a collection date with the shipper. Each time I contact the call centre (clearly in the Phillipines and generally with sounds of children in the background) I get sooo sorry platitudes and promises to do something/get back to me but each time I have to call them back again after waiting for some weeks and tell them what the need to do (contact shipper or send replacement or refund). The last two orders that had a bonus wine gift included, the bonus wine never arrived.

I've told them what I think of their service and the efforts I have to go through to follow up on missing orders and that I won't be ordering from them for some time. The order I made on 30th was after two months of no orders, and now I have to follow up on the points. I won't be ordering again until I get the PC+ wine vouchers in a few months and they are welcome to call me over the next few months to find out why I haven't ordered for some time.

Edit: I've shared this post on the "Qantas Wine are hopeless" thread so further discussion can go there ...

If the bonus offers from WWR/BWS come the OP's way from WW, then yes, getting very close to that 22,000 WWR points can be quite easy, plus filling up the car with fuel from WWpetrol/Eurogarages/Caltex/or who ever their fuel partner is, that is close to where the OP lives, assuming of course he/she drives.
OT: Macquarie has I think, still got QFF points earn if a person buys property via them, home loan wise.
As does LJ Hooker.
Both are irrelevant to OP's case though these 2 will earn that 20,000 QFF points.

But in the end, by the looks of it, yeah, the cost does outweigh the benefits for most people.
44 gift cards at $500 a pop, grin.
Probably illegal to onsell them, not saying people don't do it, but thats one way of regaining the funds.
Or use the card for 44 years more of Chrissy gifts to your significant other/s.

Wife happy with coming case of favourite wine, what price is that worth!!

Aye me lad... that is the most important thing.
What price?
Priceless mate.
You can get away with a lot, with a happy wife/work wife!:D
But cross them, and you are in the bad books for a long time!

Looks like WWR is on slim pickings in my case, have had better.
Tuna for 150, jar of Robert Timms 200g for 200 points, etc, and the below.
a.5x points on total shop, 1 normal + 4 bonus for buying fruit and veg, if the OP got this, it would need a shop of $4400,
b.3x points on bigW shop, in app only, 1 normal + 2 bonus
Plus odd an ends for weekly shop, still need quite a sum.
Realistically, it would need a flight in full fare F class Au - UK/Europe with QF and QFF to make it the ideal(est)/fastest.
Looking at the QF earn calculator, even discY return on the above route will still earn enough QFF points with least cost, ...
But for the OP, does not look too good, unless he/she can fly at short notice.
