re: AKL Dinner 7 March 2015 [1 Space Available]

I am V interested in this.

Colour me Gold trending Platinum. I will confirm as soon as 2015 fixtures are loaded into my schedule.

(Note to self: speak to people about why 2015 event aren't in the calendar already!)

re: AKL Dinner 7 March 2015 [1 Space Available]

As I'm Auckland based, colour me platinum - I'm looking forward to putting faces to handles.

PS - Euro does great food!

re: AKL Dinner 7 March 2015 [1 Space Available]

I am also very interested in joining with my wife, and I am seriously considering the Round the Bays run on Sunday morning (March 8), depending on how much alcohol is consumed on the Saturday night. However, I just checked pricing for the Crowne Plaza and it seems as if pricing for March 6 and 7 is up to NZ$288 - it was NZ$219 yesterday and apparently, I snoozed and lost. :)

Any suggestion for an alternative close by or a way of how to bring the price down? Government rate is NZ$256.00 per night and it seems as if the Saturday night is the expensive one, with Friday night at NZ$216.00 and Saturday night at NZ$360.00. I can't justify that and if the CP is the main place to gather, I might be forced to reconsider my plans of attending. Any help/ input would be greatly appreciated.

I just booked a cheap joint on the Q website. Hotel Grand Chancellor King Room for $144 and I think it earned 2000 points.
Lets face it, Mrs B and I are only there for 1 sleep. By the time we arrive in AKL we will only have time to check in, shower and change then head straight to Euro.
AKL is such a small city so just pick somewhere that looks half reasonable and is down the bottom end of the city towards the water.
Waldorf Copthorne if I remember correctly is only about $120/nite and a very nice less than 10 minute walk from Euro. The best Mexican establishment is just opposite the hotel.
Don't get sucked in to the expensive hotels is my opinion, just stay near the water.

I made the same mistake of not locking it in...

Have I missed anyone, or misinterpreted your intentions?

So far we are up to 7 WP/P1s. And we have 10 months to go. Hmm, memories of QF81 spring to mind.

Add me as Gold, tempted to book a flight.

I did get a laugh out of the Copper group you created just for Penegal, 10 months is a long way off in the future.
