So wait.. the woman flying QF93 needs to get to Philly by 11am for her Father's funeral? My calculations predict she wouldn't make it even if the flight was on time. I'm confused.

QF93 arrives the same day it leaves, which should leave her enough time.

It was disappointing that that she did not seem to be offered any alternative by QF.

Oh right - I was under the impression she was trying to make it to Philly the same day - ie, land in LA at 0630am and be in Philly by 11am.

Oh, my bad. It was an A330.

Hmmm.

Thought the same thing.

Also.. If your flight is cancelled until the next day, does that mean you can spend all day in the Flounge, and then return the next day for round two?
Or must you depart the lounge when the flight has been cancelled?

Don't tell me I missed tonight's gripping episode?

Gah!! What crises did the good folks at Qantas battle through this time?

Personally, I am really enjoying the Bangkok airport show that follows.

I recognised one of us in the Perth Lounge opening

I've seen this before and think it is hilarious. The Poms can do a good travel show and the Thais have really gotten on board with this one.

I recognised one of us in the Perth Lounge opening

You mean it wasn't an AFF event where it was mandatory for at least one of us to attend for it to be officially opened?

Hmm, is it just me or do the overhead shots of QF93 look like a 737?

And the inside shot of the A330 that was actually an A380?

I do love that they announced the last name of the bloke who missed his flight due to "being on the cans"

From the few seconds that I saw, a waiter was having problems pronouncing Cabernet Sauvignon - but that could have been an ad on a recorded show/older episode, I wasn't paying that much attention but he was very earnest in his attempt.

That was for the opening of the Perth J lounge.

Episode 5 is a little better. However have no recollection what ads were played nor the brands in the ads. :D

Do they drink from cans at the QPub.

I dont drink alcohol when travelling so have no idea.

Just watched it for the first time last night. And the Bangkok airport show after it. I'm hooked

I too watched it for the first time last night - I had seen this thread and wondered if it would be any good. I stumbled across it at about 21:20 and watched the rest of the show - what I saw I thought was FABULOUS. What I really liked was how it put a real life / human element to difficulties of aircraft / airline operations.

I could not care less if occasionally the wrong plane is shown - every AFFer has been affected by incidents which were depicted last night and I thought a fabulous portrayal as to how staff could / would respond in these situations. The 'no show dude' on the vinegar in the lounge - god wouldn't we love to wring his neck - the mechanical failure and subsequent flight cancellation - so many of us have lived through that and seen the brunt that staff cop there - and how good were those kids who broke out in song on their flight?

I'll download all previous episodes and watch them all if I can find them - I too am hooked if rest of shows as good as the bit I saw last night - well done to whoever has produced this.
