Apparently no episode this week due to cricket :-|
happened to me on the first ep. Cut off 10 mins before the end. No great loss though IMO ....Well your on time record is falling. Currently 15 minutes late with no sign of take off (broadcast) any time soon.
The forecasters are employed by an external company which has a contract with the airlines....
Do you concur JB747?
Apart from the broken headrest.
I also found it interesting that the B744 was one of the last 3 planes he hadnt been on. Hasnt it been around for ages? Interesting that in 999 flights he hadnt been on it yet. (less i got that wrong)
I think he means individual aircraft (as in VH-O..) rather than type. It would be pretty hard to have not flown 1000 flights on QF on the routes he has by the looks of his route map and not have flown a B744.
I got the same 738 three times on the one day. Considering it wasn't a BSI it wasn't a happy coincidence. That one seems to pop up more than usual for me.jb747 very kindly some weeks ago provided a rundown of which A388 he'd commanded the most and the least. Fascinating because it proves the point about 'random' selection not evening itself out even though there are only 12 aircraft to choose from (although a mathematician might suggest that one needs more 'events' than a pilot has - i.e. flights.) I cannot quickly find the post because I cannot remember what the keywords were.
Finally caught up with Episode two, with thanks to Using the "Nine Jumpin" channel.
Really enjoyed episode Two, Mr Martin was well looked after on his trip to HKG celebrating his 1000th flight with Qantas. Quite touching indeed.

Also, does anyone know of passengers within view were informed about that fixed camera on one of the bulkheads?
I know in Perth there were signs when I was there last all over the terminal saying they were filming footage for a documentary, also there was signs at a couple of gates where they were easily seen when boarding a flight so assume it may have been a similar situation.
I really, really object to places like immigration and baggage collection halls, where you have no choice but to attend / pass though, having filming allowed carte-blanche with the signs supposedly 'advising people' and therefore its OK. I've told film crews who were about to film me at an airport, a couple of times, that I didn't provide 'content' for their TV shows without a fee being paid, so bugger off. They got the message.
