Online TV giuide has this as a 8.30 start for tonight.

And the precis reads as follows:
In Melbourne, Airport Customer Experience Manager Mara Bianchi has the day from hell when everything that can go wrong, does go wrong with QF93 to Los Angeles. We also follow Clayton and Mr Martin (his prized pet cat) on an emotional roller coaster.

Tried watching the programme but for MrP who lately lives at airports he can't bear to watch it.

So ... "Qantas baggage handlers" ... eh? So the Qantas baggage handlers get to choose whether my priority bags come off first or last, eh?

Then an A330. I'm pretty sure I was on that delayed flight!!

We sat on QF 93 for 3.5hrs with internal phone issues. It felt like forever. Would hate to be sitting at gate for an extra 7hrs like this flight!

7hrs in business or first no problem!!!! Was there any mention of boogie boards via the baggage handlers???

Well I was wrong. My flight was delayed 15 hours not 7.5. Thank goodness for the F lounge!!

The whole "coming up" clips and recap of what they showed is really bringing the content down to probably 16 minutes of a 22 minute show. It is a shame because they could really be showing a lot more. Typical of all the reality shows but for a 30min show, it isn't needed

*** spoiler alert - looks away now if you haven't seen this week's episode ***

Bit of a mixed bag this latest episode. The cat story... OMG so boring. Had to fast forward through that.

The QF93 delay... interesting spin on it. It was trying to show how great QF is at managing IRROPS, but failed to address the issue of why there wasn't a spare part in Melbourne. On the one hand one guy was saying the flight would be delayed overnight (QF managed to prove him wrong), but on the other it showed a complete disconnect in communications... the pilot was called in to give a departure time and said he couldn't foresee any additional delays. Except he completely ignored crew hours which caused another delay.

In the end, several clips of passengers boarding being ever so grateful that the plane was safe. Not that there wasn't a spare part. Not that they were delayed 5+ hours. Not that they didn't receive any compensation (that we saw). Just that QF was wonderful for having a safe plane. If this had been the EU or US... pax would have either had $1000 in their pocket, or been on their way on another carrier.

Without a compensation regime along the lines of EU261 there seems to be little incentive for airlines in Australia to have things such as spare parts at major ports. Maintenance issues are a routine part of airline operations.

Missed it last night, didn't programme the IQ thingy, not on the website yet. Reduced to watching episodes of Dubai Airport on YouTube. I'm pathetic. I wasn't like this before I started going to the US in J for work.

apparently they did have a spare except the spare was faulty as well.

small suggestion to QF: during such events where pax are waiting at gate, would it be possible for CC to go around the gate with a drinks/snacks trolley.
