Well the reason I know it so well is I sent off my closure request today!

Re: Receive 5,000 Bonus Points# & your first month cover complimentary when you purch

Thanks for that, have emailed them this morning. Hopefully I get a prompt response.

I emailed 3 or 4 times because they never respond beyond a thanks for your email generic message. The letter came in about a week and a half.

Didn't get a response either, letter took maybe 2 weeks, possibly 3.

Re: Receive 5,000 Bonus Points# & your first month cover complimentary when you purch

well done, i got mine (plat edge amex) my wife didn't (my green card).

Re: Receive 5,000 Bonus Points# & your first month cover complimentary when you purch

Looks like this offer is back, though I do notice this tidbit in the T&C's

Bonus Points will be allocated once only per account, therefore Card Members who currently hold or have previously purchased an American Express Ezicover Insurance product are ineligible for this offer.

I'll probably still give it a crack to see if it comes through (as I've often still received points when ineligible with these offers).

Anyone else receive the email?

I didn't get the email, was there a link with the offer?

I have sort of forgot to officially cancel the card; but have taken the auto credit card payment away.

Just wonder if they ditch me! (If I can't pay, why provide!)

Got a snail mail for a similar offer for 2015 now, looks like 5,000 bonus points have returned, T&C's are a bit different though (no mention of when points will post):

Offer available to new American Express Ezicover Insurance Policy Holders who are Australian residents aged between 19 and 69, who apply by 18 December 2015, are approved and have purchased their policy using a Card issued by American Express Australia - not bank issued, provided they are enrolled in the eligible rewards programs. Eligible rewards programs include Membership Rewards program, Qantas Direct program, Qantas Frequent Flyer program and Velocity Frequent Flyer program. Bonus Points will be allocated only once per account, therefore Card members who currently hold or have previously purchased an American Express Ezicover Insurance product are ineligible for this offer.

Anyone else get this?

No I haven't received one. I would be interested to know if I can purchase a policy in my wife's name now that she has her own Amex credit card? We had a policy under her name last year when she was a supplementy card holder to my Amex credit card.

Gday

I got the snail mail in the last few weeks(dont check the mail that often).

'Please allow 8-10 weeks after the first premium is paid for the bonus points to be visible in your account'

Minimum cover amount is $200k. From posts above this is alot higher than last years offer so i would expect premiums to also be higher.

Will check out how much it works out to be on the weekend. If the first month cover is free then theoretically one will have to wait up to 14 weeks for points to post(first month free, second month paid, up to 10 weeks from then).

Pele.

Re: Receive 5,000 Bonus Points# & your first month cover complimentary when you purch

I received the info in the mail. Threw in the paper recycling but was called on mobile on way back from work today.
As driving didn't know the T&Cs over how long to hold policy to get points.
Minimum cover offered was 250K at $33 per month (1st month free) so MR points would have to be quick-posting for it to be viable
The premium didn't sound too bad and I was considering keeping it but turns out to be almost twice as expensive as my BT policies
I did provisionally agree expecting I could cancel but looks like I won't end up getting the points

Re: Receive 5,000 Bonus Points# & your first month cover complimentary when you purch

5066 bonus points posted today with first premium paid (1st month was free). I consider that a very reasonable earn for $33 spend

Re: Receive 5,000 Bonus Points# & your first month cover complimentary when you purch

What's the best way to cancel this policy? Can we do via email?

Re: Receive 5,000 Bonus Points# & your first month cover complimentary when you purch

I'll be finding out in the next couple of days :)

Re: Receive 5,000 Bonus Points# & your first month cover complimentary when you purch

I didn't receive the offer but would be keen if the points are still available. The website doesn't mention it but was there a promotional code or special web address to enter to be eligible for the points?
