I may be shot down in flames here, but I actually really like the name RedQ. Its short, sharp and snappy. The colour red is extremely lucky to Asians and the Q is an unusual enough letter for people to instantly think of Qantas (or, I guess Qatar!).
The name (and airline) is not designed to appeal to Australians so it doesnt really matter what we think of it. Red Sky makes me think the plane is on fire and OneSky sounds like a cable channel.
