If expiry on SQ/CX is 3 years at the end of the month the pointe were accrued into the FF program, no real advantage to waiting. Why risk it with a technical glitch if you’ve already made the decision?

In case this helps anyone else porting their points out from Amex.

Chrome gave a Page Not Found error for all airline programmes I tried to transfer out to -- screenshot attached.

The process works fine in Firefox and I was able to transfer out a final 500,000 to Krisflyer

Very good point!

I emptied out my Amex points account overnight...only have 5K left which I will TF on 14.4 along with any other points earned by then.

That's what I call getting the last drop out of the bottle

I like

Think I'll transfer enough for one J redemption, will leave the rest to double come July

I've been flogging the explorer pretty hard every three days.... for the third time in 2 months I had to get on the phone this arvo to get them to reset the balance after doing a payment. First response was: no you have to wait three days.... I sorted that out very quickly, and then blew the credit limit within 3mins.

It should reset on Monday, and I'll flog it for probably the last time.

Try to make the phone Paynent to one of your supplementary or your a/c card. Depending on the operator you get, they will let you and helps to do the top up sooner.

I used that method for years with the Ult card, a really nice bloke in the SYD(?) office sorted it for me. After a few attempts with the Explorer I’ve given up.... frustrating, but I’ve only got one more cycle to go.

I transferred points from Amex on Wednesday (two days ago). They have just shown up in Asia Miles with an expiry date of 30/11/2022. Three years and 7 months is giving me a bit longer than I was led to believe.

I'll probably use them before time runs out :)

Edit: The expiry date might be related to the join date, which in my case was 29/11/18. I don't know.

Just made an online payment to my card today, the money is available instantly but will not debit to my bank account until Monday. It can help me to save some interest on the balance of $50k sitting in my offset account.

I have been sending Bpay payments each day from bank account. They don’t affect balance for a day or so but increase available funds the same night they are sent

Yeah that's what I've been doing. The limitation then comes from CBA, who only allow 100k to be BPAY'd a day :')

The three days works well enough as it takes a couple of days for charges to be processed via RP, longer over weekends. It’s just the reoccurring issue every few weeks of their credit department algorithm saying no for the constant rinse and repeat payments every three days.

The real limiting factor is the $50k credit limit on the explorer. I’ve tried getting it increased, but they won’t oblige... they keep suggesting that I should use my Plat card as it has a limit set somewhere north of $280K. No way Jose!!!!

Now if RP drop their fee (substantially) - I might well start flogging that card even harder.

To make all this hassle worthwhile I booked our first SQ suites ride on Wednesday - 550,000 miles for CDG-SIN-SYD in a few weeks. We’ll get to see both old and new suites as a first time SQ traveller in over a decade... have selected the couple seats for both sectors.

Icing on the cake - QFF released 2 x F award seats for me on request I made two days ago for SYD-LHR .... not bad given the flight is only a few weeks away. Having high status and points is a good mix.

Congrats :)

Just as a sideline -- and apologies for the digression -- but have you found the couple seats on SQ Suites to be relatively easy to find on Europe to Australia routings?
