It was for me earlier today. I just used a chat session to transfer them over.

Krisflyer account flush with new miles!

KF is hands down the #1 best program for biz/first redemptions right now.

Feels very empty seeing my points balance at 4 figures after the bulk transfer!

I got the double points offer so not in any rush to transfer them out of MR just yet. But I've been doing research into a SYD-NYC return trip next year and I found CX charging 85k miles each way in J and SQ charging 126k with marginal differences in taxes.
Considering both airlines have the same redemption rate through AMEX it appears CX is 33% cheaper than SQ. Appreciate this is just one example and there are other factors such as availability but why is the consensus that SQ is the superior program for J/F redemptions?

More availability on SQ I'm guessing, generally speaking.

one thing for sure is that because ive prepaid heaps of stuff and will have a 50k negative balance soon, chances are I may never use my amex again for points earning, ill keep it for statemetn creidts etc. etc.

Ahhh thanks, that reminds me, and I guess a lot of others, to pay everything today since it'll take a couple days to clear then gotta transfer points by Friday.

Also, get your BAS and Super done today!

Is it almost absolutely true the KF is the best for biz redemptions especially to SE Asia and as compared to say cathay and other MR travel options?

Yes I`m interested in knowing as well.

Hopefully, with everyone trying to spend their KF miles within the next three years, award availability on Oneworld may improve:rolleyes:

KF has near unlimited availability.
Like I said - it's currently the #1 program for redemption in the world by leaps and bounds.

I agree; and given millions of Amex points have/are being transferred to KF, and have to be used within three/four years, the demand for availability on other programs may be reduced.

Gotta find a silver lining somewhere.
