Regional Express Delays/Cancellations

Also on Thursday 14 March, ZL139 (MYA to MIM second sector, the 1945 hours up up and away at 2136) has VH-PRX and should arrive at 2203 hours, 108 minutes late.

Saturday 16 March 2019 finds ZL359 from NTL down to SYD - a classic example of a route that ought not operate into SYD due to tiny numbers of passengers, the ability to be replaced by trains and the tying up of valuable slots - as the 1015 hours taking off at 1125. VH-RXQ should arrive 61 late at 1201 hours.

In more on 16 March, ZL464 from NRA up to SYD, the 1105 hours airborne at 1220 (VH-ORX) is arriving at 1331, 66 late.

Monday 18 March 2019 has ZL3763, the 0835 hours morning flight from MEL across to MGB not having taken off by 0939 so it will be at least 50 late. VH-ZLF is the SAAB340B.

ZL953, the Monday 25 March 2019 ARM to SYD due to depart at 0630 took off at 0700, about 20 late. Arrival however is further delayed to a predicted 0838, 53 late as there was a hold near Wollombi.

Tuesday 2 April has ZL821, the 0630 hours from DBO to SYD having taken off at 0738. VH-ZLC should arrive 67 late at 0847 hours.

The NRA - SYD ZL456 is not quite as bad with a 40 minute late arrival (0905) the estimate. The aircraft has been holding north of Wombeyan Caves.

ZL517, the early morning PKE - SYD did not take off until 0732 hours on Wednesday 3 April so arrival for VH-ZXF should be at 0832 hours, 67 late. Last night it was 26 late arriving in PKE at 2046 on ZL534 ex SYD and BTS, but this may not be why it's late this morning.

ZL454 gfrom GFF to SYD, the 0650 hours, took off at 0950 so arrival for VH-PRX is a suggested 1109 hours, 179 minutes late.

On Friday 5 April 2019, ZL658 from WGA up to SYD, the 0630 hours did not become airborne until 0800, so arrival for SAAB340B VH-ZXG should be at 0908 hours, 88 late.

ZL3188 (Friday 5 April's evening 1920 hours from MEL up the short distance to ABX) was airborne at 2006 with VH-YRX. Arrival should be at 2051 hours, 31 late. While most are not travelling CBD to CBD, the NSW TrainLink XPT (three hours 15 minutes Southern Cross to Albury) is just as fast, and has no security hassles, no minimum check in time or need to wait for a bag to come off the aircraft, and even first class is way cheaper than the high Rex fares.
