OK so we'll change the venue to Gold Leaf, Docklands as that seems to be better for others. I've not eaten there, but will assume it's as good as Preston.

samh004, could you please change the address as follows, and update the attendees up till this post (you're being slack ;)).

Level 1/10-11 Star Circus, Docklands VIC

There is tram access, or parking around the [-]waste-of-money-tourist-trap[/-] Southern Star Wheel too.

Final numbers required by this w/end please, and i'll make the booking :)
Count me in!

Count me in for my first event and please excuse that fact that after countless trips to Asia I still can't use chopsticks.

Ok - I forgot that I had a date that weekend. Count me in with a plus 1. Also, put my house mate (dance hard) down as tentative and I'll ask him when he gets home in a week. He will prob join us.

------------

Cancel all that. Apparently he doesn't like yum cha... I'll still be coming though.

I don't get why anyone would not like Yum Cha. It's right up there with my absolute favourites.

I guess some people think it's all steamed chicken feet and pork blood jelly congee ;)

I also know quite a few people that don't like it.

I absolutely love it but then again I could eat dumplings for breakfast, lunch and dinner

Apologies, it's been so hot, I've been so busy with outside real world activities and I'm currently travelling, but shall update details on Friday when I get back.

That said, simply mentioning my name in a thread doesn't alert me ;) it'd be awesome if it did, but you might need to talk to You Know Who to gain that spell (Taboo) for me, and jinx my name.

Something about it being too much meat and MSG - the two best food things in the world.

The resturant is at the "back" of the Harbour Town mall, upstairs with a view kinda towards the wheel. If you see a Nandos, you are close by.

If you have a CostCo card (and can endure the "line-up") there is free parking at CostCo, otherwise the Harbour Town paid parking is a short stroll away.

Is this Adrian? He needs some more meat and MSG :p

Nah, my date. But he also needs both those things. He can just wander around the city for a few hours while the adults eat lunch.

Woohooo Mrs Ansett and I will be attending :D

Call us Platinum 1 lol

I have been asked to a week of 'higher duties' so expect to have Sunday off*. So I can now be upgraded to Gold. :)

The attendees/address post has yet to be updated, but discussion seems to indicate Docklands. Can someone please absolutely confirm the location?

If it is Docklands, then I have a Costco card so parking will not be an issue. (Of course, if I am driving the company car, parking is never an issue.)

*For this role, I manage my own hours as opposed to having a set roster, which means as long as the work gets done I will have Sunday off.

Apologies, I didn't realise the venue address hadn't been updated. AFAIK it is Docklands and I have updated the address accordingly, have also updated the guest list... however, drewbles did state he was making the reservation and confirming numbers on Friday 10th, so we'll need him to speak up about whether this can be amended right now.

Hi Sam,

Could you change me to platinum please? No longer silver now flights are booked :)

Thanks!
