Regular Sydney Drinks

Çount me in guys, Thurs is my preferred day :) Wednesday is also good, however Monday and Tuesday nights are out - as its gym night (yet it seems to be not working for me)!

I'm happy to venture anywhere between work (York & King Sts) and home (Broadway).

I'd suggest Mr. B's Hotel first up, as not as is its newly renovated with a creative decor .. but there's also a whole bunch of cheap eats nearby!

is it close to a train?

munitalP and I may find parts of the city we never knew existed if this thread keeps growing.
Just dont think us out of towners wanting to do a half hour walk on one of those super sticky high humidity days of summer in Sydney.
The only place I have gone for drinks is in the Opera House precinct so this will be totally new for me.

So are we going to lock in a date for the 1st drinks event?
This may not be the perfect advice but what I found with these events is for one person to organise (simple consistency) and choose a date and post on AFF. From there you will get a reaction of who is interested. Eventually you will get a regular crowd and at each drink get together it will be a group decision on the date of the next drinks night. Note you will not be able to please everyone all the time due to various commitments.

This is how Brisbane drinks night started and it has been going close to 3 years now. I am happy knowing that I was a part of it when it started and it is still going now with a lot of the early regulars still around. It will be a sad day when i have to move back to Sydney but hopefully Brisbane drinks will carry on and I will try to make it back as much as possible.

Not sure if it is great advice but just a thought.

P.S I believe having a regular place to visit also helps as people know where drinks are held and do not need to worry about which flavour is in this week.

I am all for Thursday 5.30PM

I'm not sure on the location as I haven't been to Mr B's yet. We can say Royal Exhibition in Surry Hills for first one as it is next to the (second) exit from Central Station and it seems a couple of people are around that area.
