Reliable Auckland Airport Private Transfers

Does anyone in our diverse community utilise a private car transfer service when they arrive at AKL?

Public transport is hit and miss; I avoid cabs wherever possible, and the Ubers are probably the worst I have experienced globally.

A private commercial service with a decent car and driver would fill in my gaps in that city.

I would greatly appreciate any ideas or referrals.

I agree, the Ubers in Auckland are absolutely awful, I have no idea why so much worse than other places!

Sorry I just use cabs or bus. If you get a good taxi driver, you can book directly with them next time.

I do like Skydrive, as good as the former AKL Skybus.
Of course, granted not so good if you live off the Skydrive or Skycity hotel routing.
Back to the gist of the post/thread, I would not know how to find a driver who would do it, unless you know some locals who are happy to do the driving for a bit of extra NZD$.
Would be hard to just appear at the various doors of the AKL int/dom terminal and expect there to be one of those drivers.
Been to AKL/CHC/WLG airports, and have never seen any "touts", unlike MEL int, where everywhere you look, someone is muttering, "you want a taxi?".
