i have tried to renew my membership. and i have followed all the instructions given to me from the FF community. and still no luck. i do not use PayPal, and have not renewed my membership with PayPal i have always used my visa card. could someone please help me renew my membership using my visa.

also,

i had booked business class seats for my wife and daughter in-law Sydney to Brisbane on the 14[SUP]th[/SUP] February, 2012 (mod- deleted) departing at 1405 and arriving in Brisbane at 1435 all using frequent flyer points. This flight had the appropriate business class booking points deducted from my account.
When my wife and daughter in-law arrived to board the plane the usual announcement was made in regard to, passengers in seats whatever to whatever can start boarding now including business class passengers.

Included in this announcement was a comment “this is a one class flight” or something to that effect. But the words “one class flight” were definitely used.

Although the seat allocation was 3A & 3C this plane did not have a Business class section and all the seats from the front of the plane to the back were exactly the same. The only thing that came close to what is offered in Business class, was a wet towel!!
i cannot get Qantas Customer Care to respond and i ask has anybody else had this experience

regards

QF do not operate 1 class aircraft on SYD-BNE. I'm guessing you were likely on a 737-400 which does not have a seperate cabin and has 'convertible' business class seating. All other aspects of the service including food and drink are the same as business on other aircraft.

Best that you remove the booking reference you listed.

You were on a 734 by the sounds of it!

I would concur that the aircraft was likely to have been a 737-400. Wet towels IME are only given out in business class, so that is a fair indication you were in business class.

Was there a 3B?

The 2.05 service may only be a refreshment service rather than a meal.

A Qantas 737-400 Seat in "business class" configuration looks like this.

thank you for your input. we only fly business class domestically. the seats in this plane were exactly the same from front to back. they were all economy class seats. even though the seat numbers allocated were 3A & 3C. it did not have business class seating. and yes the plane nominated for this flight was supposed to be 737-400 the seating config was not of a737-400.

That would be QF 530 which is a refreshments only flight, the QF timetable shows it as being a 734.

QF530 was not operated by an ACARs aircraft that day, perhaps a FK100 was subbed?

Either that or QF borrowed a E jet from Virgin . anyway I'm surprised that the OP hasn't had their query resolved by QF who are usually quite helpful
with resolving problems, perhaps another call to them may help.

Flightstats has it being operated by a 737-400 (or at least was scheduled with one). Looks like it was pretty much on time as well.

A Fokker F100 2 x 3 across seating is AB EFG. If it was a one class aircraft I don't know why J pax were not given downgrade slips.

You say they are exactly the same seats...

But, how many seats per a row in the first 3 (or 5) rows?
How many seats per a row in the next 15 (or 20 or 25 or whatever) rows?

The QLINK B717's are 2 x 3 config AC DEF and have bases in PER/DRW/CNS but there aren't any based in SYD & they haven't arrived in BNE yet so it I would be surprised if it was one of them.

I suspect it's a pre retirement 734 that's already been gutted including the acars!

this was definitely 737-400. 2 seat on each side from from front to back. no seats in middle

2 seat each side is the business class configuration. It would have changed to 3 seats at row 4, 5 or 6. The rows all look the similar, but the first 5 rows can convert between 2 and 3 seats on each side.

There is no cabin divider as the size of business class is variable. As far as it goes, it is probably one of the least like business configs around the country!

That's a mighty wide aisle this flight must have had ! Perfect for all those carry oners with their trolley bags !!!!

I didn't think QF had any 737 configured this way, come to think of it does any airline in OZ or Asia Pac?
