A truck rented for an election candidate has crashed in Quakers Hill, a good way to spend $5500 instantly. I wonder what the rental company thinks of the sticker use, and the attempts to remove it after the incident.

While "train wreck" is an oft used metaphor and this is not a train, is this a metaphor for her election prospects?
I think cost of repairs is going to be more than $5500. Is that the retal vehicle excess?

Beware - that is overhead damage, and not covered by the excess or the insurance. Renter will likely be up for the full cost of repairs (to both the truck and the structure they have hit).

But sir, those dents were there when we picked it up….lol. My local hertz has a picture of a similar truck looking like it was mounting a tree, which as covered due to an unexpected flood but good point, no coverage for this one.

I’ve seen a few trucks like these being used as billboards for the election. One has graffiti on it which I noted had spilled over to the paintwork on the door. Another one had the tyre let down.

Rental companies should put a ban on vehicles being used for billboards.
