Rewards seats changed from QR to QF without approval and from J to Y

EVERYONE, we officially have J seats in Brisbane to Perth, Perth to London!! Received a call from a lovely lady called Dema (she was Australian). Not sure her exact role. But she had been put on to my case from someone else (she didn’t say how or by who) and wanted to apologise for everything I’d been through. She could see very easily that it was a call centre mistake and that centre will be receiving some feedback. She has created 2 seats for us and the baby, reimbursed the extra points and taxes. It’s finally over… I can’t believe it…. My guess is my emails to Olivia worth or Stephanie Tully perhaps finally got read? But regardless, it’s officially sorted. 😁 thank you for the support, suggestions and kind words along the way.

Haven’t received the etickets yet, she advised they should come through shortly. I have a way to get back in contact with her if there are any further issues though so I’m not too concerned now. But yes it will be good to finally have the actual tickets.

Yep separate booking on QF in J. London to Singapore, Singapore to Sydney, Sydney to Brisbane. Confirmed and ticketed.

Etickets have just come through! All confirmed! Managed to select a bassinet seat for the way over too. Unfortunately the bassinet seats on the way back seem to be all gone, but that’s ok, still a lot more room in J than Y with a baby! And I’m sorry to anyone else on our flights, we will try to keep her as quiet and calm as possible!

Unfortunately the bassinet seats on the way back seem to be all gone, but that’s ok, still a lot more room in J than Y with a baby! And I’m sorry to anyone else on our flights, we will try to keep her as quiet and calm as possible!
I believe all the posters who gave so much information to assist you with your problem deserve a big round of applause for a job well done, and to the OP, well done to you and your wife during the roller coaster event that it was.

If you can stomach calling again, it's worth asking the question about the bassinet as a I believe a baby trumps status when it comes to bassinet seats.

Well at least that doesn't necessitate a re-ticketing...I would probably wait until you get the new tickets then call the person who actually helped you at Qantas, say thank you again for finally resolving the issue, and could you please help with a bassinet for the bub.

2. Gavce you a means to contact her should there be further issues.

I mean this should be normal kind of service imo but rather than those that can come and go and you have no direct way to get back to them it seems like this staffer did absolutely the right thing by you (which, as others have said, should be the bare minimum) but addressed it and followed through.

I'm really glad for this outcome.
