Rockford let me know about this event the other day.
Robert O'Callaghan himself will be presenting 10 vintages of Basket Press. It seems to be matched to cheese only (so not a dinner). I would really love to attend this, but I don't think I can justify being in Adelaide mid week.
East End Cellars Masterclass: 10 Vintages of Rockford Basket Press Shiraz
It would be interesting to see how generous the pours are for 10 different wines. (not served with food).
I imagine it would be small tasters only.
ADL isn't that bad .....Damn, I'm in ADL on 27th April
How can a wine play such a huge part in our lives? How is it that wine has become such a powerful symbol of the stories we tell through generations? Rockford’s revered Basket Press Shiraz is entwined into many of our lives, with a story beginning with every bottle opened. In this tasting session, we’ll be celebrating and discussing the role that wine has in our own personal stories, while tasting ten years’ worth of Rockford Basket Press Shiraz. Joining the session will be Robert O’Callaghan of Rockford Wines, wine writer Nick Ryan, plus special guest author John Harms.
