Rockfords discussion

But were those prices in the article pre- or post-BPA (no clarification either way in the article). Either way, somebody really wanted those bottles in their collections. Trust they will enjoy them.

Still, my inbibing of a Rockfords 2010 Basket Press at the Hilton ADL with penegal and shintaro10x was an absolute highlight for me thus far. Great wine and time.

Yeah that was a brilliant night. I remember you were so tired, but we kept on buying BP so kept you away from your beauty sleep.

Was a great night, when are we doing it again?2014_08_08-010.jpg

Thanks for the memories. Well I'm coming to ADL on Thursday, alas no time for a BP and no penegal :o :(. If only it wasn't so far to drive to Rockfords. I'll ring you tomorrow/Wed to see your availability

No, signed up when we went on Buzzard's first AFF tour of Rockfords. Maybe it's just the order form for the current vintage?

Today's Stone Wall Lunch
These lunches are certainly good value. Go to one if you ever get the opportunity.

It must be nearly 10 years since I went to a Stonewallers lunch (2007 actually), but I remember the wine selection being a bit better back then, featuring 1990 Black (Sparkling) Shiraz to start, 2003 Moppa Springs GSM 2003 as a replacement for the 2000 Vine Vale Riesling for the "red bigots" present, 1996 Basket Press Shiraz, 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon and 1989 SWF Frontignac to finish.

The menu from my lunch

Howdy - here's menus from a few I have done over the years. They are excellent affairs. Mostly, at the end of them, I leave a bit tired and emotional.........
Would happily keep non-Stonewallers in mind for future ones if anyone's keen and let me know. Can't think of a better way to meet mof_s - except the Rockford Black Magnum golf event where, once again, my golf partner and I collapsed last week!!

A big thank you to Buzz and RooFlyer for organising todays lunch. The food and wine were superb, as was the company. It was great to meet you Buzz, along with the other AFF's who attended.

Cheers,
DB
