Roomba, Dysons, Thermomix and other household appliances

My plan was to buy all new kitchen stuff, except for my kitchen aid mixer, so new pans and pots isn't an issue. Also planning a wall oven so will see what upgrade options are available.
Get one of these. Had one for 20 years. Fabulous.

Work has these across a number of locations. There seems to be one or two of them out of action at any one time. Would this just be a product of heavy use in 24hr/7 day workplaces?

Now that you have done that, may I give you the fine print 🤣
900mm induction require a dedicated circuit breaker.
Also they are generally 3 phase electricity capable, and do work better with 3 phase electricity🤣
(see installation manual - 3 phase will be worded as 380-415V 3N or 2N. 3 N better. They can work with normal 15amp but this limits the number of induction coils that can be turned on at a time)

.....

And the Fine fine print
There is no warranty re cooking skills for induction stovetops. 🤣
I changed from gas to induction and I wouldn't go back. It did require a dedicated 15A circuit and cabling to be run. I was doing a lot of other electrical work at the time so it was not a large expense in itself.

Best feature of my induction cooktop - it has a timer! 👍

There are various models. We have a boiling/chilled water hydrotap, the filter of which lasts about a year or 6000 litres. In our kitchen we use it for most things.

No longer available
Whats the benefit over a kettle and iced water from fridge - that would justify $4.5K?
That’s up to you to decide. :) We thoroughly enjoy the unit for the convenience and instant hot water and cold. Prices have gone up since we bought the unit but probably would buy one again.

ps: plus you get clean nice tasting .2 micron filtered water.

Our office has one of those zip water filter things. Hot water, filtered water and bubbly water. Its had what I would consider an unusually high number of services and surprised by how quickly the cannister under the sink needs replacing to make bubble water - considering how few people have been in the office over the last 3 years.

What tipped my husband into high gear to build our new home is the icemaker fridge - the Airbnb we stayed at had one and hes been in love since. Its all about his man cave and ice maker fridge. Every meeting is "make sure the cavity is big enough for the ice maker fridge" but I believe its smart to turn off the water tap behind the fridge if leaving home for hols.

instant hot water
The catch is that it is not able to boil water.

.......

icemaker fridge
Yes!. It can deliver cubed ice or crushed ice and chilled water
I just purchased the LG black French door with icemaker and water dispenser

Finally appliance makers are realising that white goods are better in black

smart to turn off the water tap behind the fridge
The cause of a massive water leak at our place necessitating complete replacement of timber floor in adjacent family room and bedrooms

The plastic water hose to fridge has been replaced but we now have a water leak/flood detector and the water hose pressure is set lower

5hrs with a builder yesterday, we were exhausted

Said no to the approx $7K cabinet doors upgrade but said yes to the $4800 toilet. We have our priorities :D

And hubby wants 2 ovens in the oven tower - I might change it to one oven and a convection/microwave because I dont need two ovens to clean and we've never owned a microwave

Hope you sat on a lot of them before you opted for the $4,800 one. Assume you went for a raised height one

You may Consider two ovens
- one with pyrolysic function and the usual ‘oveny’ functions
- steam/combi oven means you dont need a microwave/have an overflow oven and you can do great stuff like cook pasta/rice and not much real extra cleaning than a microwave
