Roomba, Dysons, Thermomix and other household appliances

You may Consider two ovens
- one with pyrolysic function and the usual ‘oveny’ functions
- steam/combi oven means you dont need a microwave/have an overflow oven and you can do great stuff like cook pasta/rice and not much real extra cleaning than a microwave

Thank you but in all seriousness, I dont know what a pyrolysic thingy does. I just learned about induction stove tops and put one of the list for the new build. If I want a roast, I use my Weber, if I want popcorn, I use my $15 Kmart popcorn maker and if I want to boil water, I use a pan as we dont own a kettle.

We just bought a toaster during Covid - cant rush these things :D

Pyrolitic ovens have a cleaning cycle that heats oven to something like 485C and pyrolyses (burns) off all the cough stuck onto the oven. Some ovens also have steam cleaning cycle as well.

WHAT?!?!?!? How do re-heat leftovers? How do you heat meal prep meals cooked over 3 weeks in advance?
I have a microwave but use it rarely. For reheated meals it's either oven or saucepan as I really don't like microwave heated food. I have always had a kettle and toaster though. We had a very fancy kettle with multiple temps etc but it kept beeping at me if I didn't get the water. In the end I went into the store and asked for a basic kettle that simply boiled water.

Loooove pyrolytic - no cleaning of oven hence getting rid of one thankless chore!

The trouble with pyrolytic is you can't use it until you've cleaned the door and I can't be coughd cleaning the door but I've solved that problem by having to get a replacement oven because my less than year old Fisher and Paykel is not working properly. I've had them out twice and said that's it I want a new one

My Miele does not need this step..

Do you also need to BYO bread and butter.

Toast butter and Vegemite plus two painkillers (Nurofen) are my go-to for bad headaches.
I rarely eat toast and if I do it was rarely nice square bread so always just used the griller and if you wanted crumpets then they were nicer from the griller. Always and butter and vegemite (and do have boring square bread in freezer for visitors)

Hope you cut the crusts off for visitors!
