Carpet cleaners. Has anyone tried a Bissel style or something else they like?
Yes, we have had a Bissell carpet shampooer for years (so there will be newer models now) - it is great though we only use it maybe twice a year at our place (only 2 rooms with carpet) but also take to daughter's place as well. It seems to be very efficient at cleaning, though possibly the floor is a little damper than if you used a commercial company.

Great. That's what I wanted to know. Looking at the pet one because we both sat on new outdoor chairs that hadn't been inside and the next day they were covered in cat fluff from our clothes. Hate to think what's in the carpet 😒

I love the bissel spot cleaner, I use it a lot on the couch but have also used it on the carpet and rugs. Really happy with it (and the dirty water tank is strangely satisfying 🤣).

I should add that to concur with blackcat, the dirty water in the tank is always surprising and makes one quite satisfied.

But the question on everyone's mind is ........ how well does it work with red wine on the carpet? In our new place the living room is carpeted (wood floor in the previous house) so we're not running a strict no red wine rule!

I wouldn't buy a Miele again.

You could have told me 6 months ago..
One of the problems with fitting out a new residence and leaving it empty is testing stuff.
Swmbo camped there overnight recently ; she put her oats in the microwave to cook for breakfast ( we have simple tastes)…..
1 place dish in appliance
2 set function
3 set heat
4 set go
What could be simpler it's just a fancy microwave /stem oven innit ??
Nope.. it says please close the door
She says.. the door is closed.. opens and closes again..and
Nope.. it says please close the door.

Sigh.. It seems this is a common manufacture problem / quality failure..... just a simple adjustment to the door switch.
So ...service appointment made.. 10 day wait ...timing tba…..
Swmbo has to pencil in a whole day to open the facilty at the required time to facilitate rectification of their qa issue...
If I was living there they might find it outside after a short flight down 7 floors to greet them….

The Miele seconds store does quite a bit of business as they recycle day one products that fail back into the market. Our WA one is in Canning Vale. They fix and warranty these items that don’t work on their first day out.

Ahh we have to by a dishwasher for the new place. I may check it out. We do have a HN seconds store very close to us, but I try not to give them business when I can avoid it.

Dont forget to take your dinner plate and tumbler glass to make sure it fits so the arms still turn ect. When we married, the dinner plates meant we could only fit 4 at the edge at a time so when we bought a new one, many years ago, I took my stuff with me to test

Our Miele is great. The cutlery drawer is so convenient. My sister-in-law has had a Miele for 15 years and it's still going strong. While I'm at it, I may as well tell you that our Miele washing machine and dryer are also great. And no, I have no association with Miele whatsoever 😁.

We have a Bosch for our office dishwasher and the constant complaint is its super quite so people know know its running and open the door and get wet

If only they would figure out that the sign on the dishwasher near the handle means something...

Looks like Bunnings in disguise if you ask me...... no wonder they're confused!
