Roomba, Dysons, Thermomix and other household appliances

If shopping at Appliances Online, I'll suggest another company that is owned by the same group. We recently saved a few hundred $$ on a new fridge through them. Yes, A O apparently price match but it was great that I could actually ring someone at 8:00pm and the fridge arrived at 10:00am next day.

Though AO have been excellent with their online chat and over the phone service.

roast pork.
Any info re the quality of the crackling?

It seems to me that Airfryers are just a mini version of a fan forced electric oven. Instead of heating a large volume the heating is contained to a much smaller volume. Views?.

Has anyone complained to Vorwerk that their celebrity product does not have an airfryer function?

Bingo, they are a turbo convection oven with very little warm up time. There's plenty of things that are still much better deep fried. However ours gets used quite a bit.

And a good price. So the Phillips XXL didnt tempt you?

I was sure the Philips was the go at first, but the more I researched, the more this one came up as great and at a good price. I think I paid about $125 on sale.

Oh gosh I have a few things to buy in the next while so think I need to subscribe to this thread!

I got a standup/long handle Dyson vacuum cleaner for Christmas from Mr Katie.

I guess I've been complaining too much about the dog shedding black fur all over!! :p

Edit to add - and maybe I've asked him to lug the rolling Dyson upstairs for me too many times! :D

Im planning on using either Flybuys or Qantas points for my new kitchen stick vacuum 🤣 but then I started getting Bissell ads so wondering if I should get something other than Dyson.

We have a Dyson stick at work and it didnt seem to last long but it'll only be for kitchen cleanups.

We have the Bissell Icon Edge and its going well, plus is doesnt choke on long hair like our Dyson did.

Whats different about it for the long hair not to wind itself around the sucker/roller thingy?
I have no idea, but it works. It even coped with my post-partum hair loss, while the dyson head cooked itself and died.

What will it be for your birthday then? Ironing board, broom, washing gloves? ;)

Father FB bought mother a Laurastar steam iron thingymajig one year. I learnt quickly never to do something like that as a present. It didn't go down too well!

A guy I worked with bought his wife a carpet sweeper for their first Christmas or something. He was very sternly told that was not an appropriate present and they’re still married 45 years later because he saw the error of his ways quick smart
