Roomba, Dysons, Thermomix and other household appliances

I have the same Dyson as you and recently bought a battery on eBay. No problems with it at all, and under $50.
It was very easy to change over and I just dropped off the old one in the battery recycling tubs at the supermarket.

I think they are the same. Dyson are quite responsive and do sometimes honour battery warraties even when the device is out of warranty. Drop them an email?
Agreed
I have a 6 and an 8 - interchangable fully
Also have the latest version 12 (I think) - which is definitely not
They do have a very responsive chat function on their website too.
Good sales - $200 off my hairdryer which is the best best hairdryer ever. I have masses of straight hair and nothing does the job like this one (and in half the time)

I need to replace the battery in my Dyson V6 animal which is $119 from Dyson (reports recommend the Dyson rather than generic)

Can someone smarter than me tell me if the new one will slot into my existing wall mount for the V6 please

I recently bought this one for our V6 and it fits perfectly

The dishwasher itself though works a treat. Very pleased.

An update: The dishwasher continues to work brilliantly, even though Mr4 is constantly pressing all its buttons and opening the door.

Sadly, our oven stopped working right after the dishwasher went in. Not to suggest one had anything to do with the other, just to say the timing could have been better.

So we've been oven free for a fortnight or so. When your kids love lasagna and oven fish this is an issue.

Seems to be the element most likely. But I'm going to pull it out (it's a wall one) and just get a new cheapo replacement rather than repair. All the markings for the controls had been rubbed off anyway so would rather get one we can at least see the settings.

Never ends at this joint....

Air fryer. Kmart.

I bought a Phillips airfryer today. Today (28/3/23) Myer had a one day only special. (Not sure how often they have one day only specials though)
I bought the XXL Premium at Myer also on special 8 weeks ago. Very handy little oven. Anything frozen I just throw in on the auto setting and it does it's thing.
Philips have just released the new AF models in Europe so expect they will be clearing Aussie stock ahead of the boat docking.

You'll need the Pizza Master Kit for pizza a bulky foods, and the Baking Master Kit for cakes and anything sloppy.
The Baking Master Kit is probably cheapest at Myer on special. The Pizza Master kit is cheapest from Kitchen Warehouse. Buy some additional kitchen items for free shipping over $100. Pizza Master Kit for Philips Air Fryer XXL | Kitchen Warehouse™

You can fit a large chicken if you first give a hefty push down on the breast bone ... before you place it in the airfryer basket.

its always strange how things go belly up in close succession.

Which one did you choose. My $39 one I purchased in early Covid has had it's day

Which one did you choose
The $399 one. I compared the two in the phillips website and the extra functions are more or less not required. Like most appliances, we dont use the "fancy" functions.

... a few minutes later....
And suddenly the pizza master kit is now available on Myer at a good price- after I put in the order...

... a few minutes later....
And now i also realised the white and gold one discounted to $503 comes with the baking dish... and is the same price as the black one selling for the same price without the baking dish 🤣

The new Phillips models are progressively updating to finally be wifi capable so you can set foods and recepies and monitor via your phone via their Nutriu App.

Yes got that too

Didnt get the pizza kit - unavailable at Myer. Will look it up 👍
The baking kit with the dish is excellent for omelets and frittata and lots of one pot dishes. (The spanish veg and chicken saussages is excellent.)
