You're probably right and I should have looked up the the correct terms before posting. Many robotic cleaners do map your home and use cameras, microphones etc. You don't undress in front of your pet (true, some people won't), then don't do it in front of your robot cleaner.Unlikely using GPS. Firstly, GPS accuracy is good to a few metres as best. Secondly, and more importantly, GPS signals can't penetrate solid into most homes.
It's not GPS but microwave radar that creates the map. That's why you can see the legs on tables etc. We're happy with our Roborock S7 which doesn't have a camera function. Even if someone got into our account, all they can see are the results of the most recent clean. Our address details aren't recorded. The robot vac maps the home using GPS. The blue and green blobs on the lower left hand side is where FRED has looked out through the sliding doors into the deck and sensed freedom.
But the camera function is just plain weird. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

Where Ned hangs out when he is at home...of-course.What’s a “Main Nedroom”?
Oh well. This wisdom of the crowd I set Fred up on my phone and edited the room names, without realising what autocorrect had done - the revenge of the machines. Now fixed - as my name isn't NedCareful Fred doesn't do a runner.

I have not heard of microwave (2.4Ghz) being used which would be interesting as it may interfere with WiFi.It's not GPS but microwave radar that creates the map.

Yes the EcoVacs have several pet detection options plus object identification such as table, chairs, fridge etc options. There’s even advice on what to do if your pet sits on the vac, which cats like to do so I have seen from YouTube.I believe one of the usual functions of a camera is object detection. Ie, don't try run over the dog's number two and smear it across the floor kind of thing.
Like this?Careful Fred doesn't do a runner.
Yes - I got my radars/lasers mixed up. According to their website, it uses PreciSense LiDAR navigation. And, on Reddit quite a few people are reporting their S7s are looking out and mapping outside of their ceiling to floor windows and sliding doors.I have not heard of microwave (2.4Ghz) being used which would be interesting as it may interfere with WiFi.
But I've heard of time of flight sensors using ultrasonic, infrared and laser. Cars use 24Ghz radar cruise control which is 10x the frequency of microwave .
Timely post. I saw this advertised recently and was going to ask how you had been finding it. Looks like you are making good use of it.Anyone else who has bought the Ninja Creami Deluxe? I did and have been enjoying some icrecreams and slushies so summer is going to be fun.
Todays pineapple slushie. Just a can of pineapple and blended with a stick blender and frozen. Add some juice or water and spin in the creamie deluxe. Ive made similar with a can of mango (as mangoes are out of season)

Some ice creams Ive made for Mr Denali, using his protein powders and a combination of soy milk, xanthum gum (very small amount), cottage or cream cheese (prefer cottage cheese), cocoa and other added in goodies like flakes mixed in or vanilla paste

Hubby wants a diet coke slushie so I was going to try soda stream pepsi made up (he likes extra bubbles so loves his soda stream) and adding lemon and lime or a blended mango into the mix for freezing. Because it needs to have some sort of sugar and the drinks are sugar free, Im looking at what i can add to it like lemons or mangoes firstTimely post. Im enjoying it but Im a throw stuff in and see how it goes person so haven't used the recipe book but I'm keeping it pretty basic. I made a chocolate ice cream with banana and it was amazing. The xanthum gum gives it a nice creamy texture but I only use a very small amount but there are other options as well, this was the easiest to buyTimely post.
