Roomba, Dysons, Thermomix and other household appliances

That sounds Yum.

I make a keto'sh chocolate mousse using mascarpone cheese, cream, cocoa powder and stevia. But crave something really cold more like icecream or smoothie. Think I'll have to give it a try.

All the keto icecreams I've tried to make turn out solid like ice even after modifying with some strong alcohol spirits (for the sake of science).
Our first ice cream was a bit iccy so I added some xanthum gum for the texture but you can use other things like agave. Some mixes ive added a scoop of lite mousse or pudding mix but I found a bit of cocoa works better than the packet stuff.

I know you said you just throw things in, but is it possible to have the approx recipe please 🙏
The choc one was:
1 tablespoon cocoa
I/4 cup cottage cheese
1 scoop choc protein powder
1 banana if you want
1/4 teaspoon xanthum gum
Soy milk. I filled up the container to about half way (as its too much ice cream in one sitting, although you can refreeze and respin)
Use a stick blender to blend it all together
Freeze for 24hrs
I leave it on the bench for 10min before spinning
I spin it on lite - the machine is LOUD
I added some chopped up flakes (hit it with my rolling pin) but Mr Denali wants me to try raspberries or nutella next time
Respin on Mix-in
Serve and Mr Denali was a happy man

Anyone else who has bought the Ninja Creami Deluxe? I did and have been enjoying some icrecreams and slushies so summer is going to be fun.

Todays pineapple slushie. Just a can of pineapple and blended with a stick blender and frozen. Add some juice or water and spin in the creamie deluxe. Ive made similar with a can of mango (as mangoes are out of season)

Some ice creams Ive made for Mr Denali, using his protein powders and a combination of soy milk, xanthum gum (very small amount), cottage or cream cheese (prefer cottage cheese), cocoa and other added in goodies like flakes mixed in or vanilla paste

@blackcat20 just bought one 😋

I made cookies and cream ice cream with the kids on the weekend, that was a hit. We've also made milkshakes. I'm planning to try chocolate peanut butter cup ice cream this weekend. I also have a pineapple that I was thinking of making slushies with.
I got lucky that shopback had a good deal and I got $100 back on mine, it was what pushed me over the line

I need kids just so I can justify this. MrP wouldn't be interested. So just me.

Sounds good.
Once you have spun the ice cream can it be refrozen? If refrozen does it has to be spun again before you eat it?

Yes it can be refrozen. We haven't respun but it can be a bit firm, doesn't hurt to let it soften for a minute.

Apparently, yes, it can be refrozen and you respin it another day.

But, on the machine, you can select full, top or bottom for spinning so you could spin top only, if you wanted to, and leave the bottom half untouched. I make half tubs because I can and I have extra tubs.

Thank you both, that is helpful to know.

Isn't it a hassle to use the stick blender and then another machine - I'd want it to be all in one

I'm trying to convince him we should try choc raspberry or honeycomb not he's just walked in and said what about crushed almonds or pistachio icecream

I find it easy but I have a new cordless stick, as the corded one was annoying me

Most powder/liquid only mixes you could get away with spoon stir but I like using the stick as I make a couple at once. Like I made my pineapple mix for slushy and a mango mix tonight so need a blender for that as the fruit pieces were large

I guess if the fruit pieces were small enough or crushed, you just put in the container and freeze

Not sure if he’s into spicy stuff at all, but chilli + choc is also a good flavour combo.
I was eyeing off the Tabasco the other day 😅
