Exactly what I was thinking about these waffle makers. Being sold as a Christmas item across 2 store groups suggests many more will be re-gifted / given away than actually used.

That's because the bowl, which has to be frozen, takes up a huge amount of space in the freezer for the couple of times you attempt to make icecream

May only complaint about the ninja creami is it's so tall. The space it takes up in the freezer are the tubs only, and you can have as few as you want.

After putting the blade/scaper through the dishwasher thus deforming it so it no longer fits in the bowl, "we" have purchased a Magimix Gelato Expert.

Our finance adviser would be unimpressed....
