RSA MEL F Lounge Qantas Official Response (Refused Drinks)

Tested the rules again on this in MEL F Lounge on Monday. QF to AKL. Arrived at the lounge, and had many drinks in the time we were there. I even tried changing things up, went from Champagne to coughtails and then to spirits. Had 7 drinks before our flight was called, over a time of 1:40. This also included 20 minutes in the day spa.

We didn't even have to ask for drinks, they just kept coming as we were quietly talking and hammering our emails.

Sorry RSA is not a thing in this lounge.

After 7 drinks you can remember this with such clarity?

Anna that would be twins who married twins and then got a deal on swimming gear on 2 for 1 deal.

Now we cant have that and as Robert has claimed to have used for many years I have in the spirit of simpler and fairer and Responsible Posting opted to change mne :)

Nice one. In the spirit of this thread perhaps it should be "I don't want to be ashamed of what I did in the Flounge this weekend"

Appreciate the reply Red Roo and thanks to Ansett for bringing this to our attention.

Personally if QF removed access to the FL for JQ pax I'd not have a problem with it. YMMV.

I can assure you that I was an only child. My parents either thought I was perfect and that they couldn't improve on this or I was so terrible they weren't game to provide me with a sibling!

Ok...so I just rang the first lounge in Melbourne...took me 2 seconds, and asked them if the wines are available for self serve every day, and her response was that yes, every single day !...no exception...and often they are put out as soon as there are enough guests, so from the early hours......so your perception that they were not out was incorrect. (as were all the others who were unaware of this)
So yes the self serve wine AND bubbly is there - lounge very quiet. Guess I just haven't looked before as after my 2 glasses of bubbly with meal, I don't even look at the self serv area.

Thanks FM

Its good to see it is out as it should be, but not always as has been shown in the thread.

I wonder if this has anything to do with this thread and a re education of staff in Melbourne? :)

Sorry I should have specified this is in Sydney, where I have never noticed self serve either.
