For mains she once again had the lamb and I the lasagna. certainly not the best I have had.

For desserts she had the pavlova and I a pear and blueberry crumble. completely overwhelmed by the large pear.

A couple of times I have been there I have had oyster pasta at a small bistro on the river opposite the peace park. It sounds odd, but was absolutely delicious - oysters just warmed with a cream sauce and tagliatelle. Also explains why the okonomyaki often feature an oyster or two.

I was off on the Hakata walking exploration tour. So on to the shuttle bus to the centre of Hakata. Near the shuttle bus stop was another Autumn festival So I planned on visiting it later.

First thing was taking a subway ride. We were each given a day ticket and headed off on the long underground tunnel.

We then walked a short distance to the old town with lots of older Japanese style buildings.

I recall a temple in or near Kyoto that had a warning sign at the driveway entrance:
No onions
No garlic
No women
