Ruminations from the Silver Muse.

You are presented with some Naan and a hot and a mango chutney to start. As well a sample coughtail. The first 2 nights based on Midori. IMG_4986.thumb.JPG.f23d69e0850a9ef38a5b046551c124bf.JPG

The next day we didn't want to spend an hour each way into Seoul for the all day tours. So a leisurely start with breakfast in Atlantide. Mrsdrron had a mushroom omelet and I eggs Benedict.

I decided to take the shuttle into town to do some mall walking instead of deck 11 laps as rain was threatening. However the shuttle didn't run over lunch so I had to wait until 2,30pm. So a couple of pics from the balcony.

The shuttle takes you to the Hyundai Mall. Mostly high end shops but a few local businesses as well. A good place for Mall walking and I easily got to my step count.

Atlantide again. As you may have guessed it is our favourite venue for dinner. Indochine is OK for a couple of vists but Rojaan doesn't do spicy food so it is a limited menu for her. We also find the service their to be a notch lower.

We also don't think La Terrazza is great. We prefer a nonna's cooking which we can easily find at home. Kaiseki is better on the Muse than on the Moon and Dawn as it is a teppanyaki restaurant at night. We don't want to spend $80 a night that often. Silver note. Again we were not impressed when we did finally get there. La Dame no longer is that much better than the other restaurants now and not worth the upcharge.

So on to the menu.

Our next stop was for coffee. A very interesting coffee place with an art gallery. Some traditional items.
Do you recall the name of the shop/gallery or town please @drron? I have Korea firmly on my radar for a trip in the near future and it looks like a place I'd like to visit.

Sorry I don’t but it was close to the market where I took a photo of the market name. And it is on Ganghwa Island.

So I now have a routine for sea days. breakfast in the Arts cafe. As soon as I have finished it and the Soduku it is up to deck 11 and do 24 laps. Then recover until lunch time. Though sometimes Mrsdrron will come up to 11 and we share a pizza.

After lunch it is another 16 laps to make 40 laps to make 8KM/5m. My walking has improved markedly since I increased the amount of walking I do which started before we left home. According to my iPhone my walking stability has improved, my step length and speed also. I now do 8 laps in 15 minutes consistently with a very occasional 16 minutes.

Then of course after I rest it is Trivia then putting. Not doing badly at both. For putting though I am much better if consuming another G&T.
But now another try with Indochine.

We both had the Creme brulee this time.

Dinner in Atlantide. It was once again a demonstration of one of the most disappointing changes in cruising since the pandemic. And it is in no way the fault of Silversea. We again said we would be happy to share a table. So this is what happens now. IMG_5041.thumb.JPG.138563fc0e1d3208319a583ce318f126.JPG

You end up dining alone but at a bigger table. An indication of how unsure the pandemic has made some people.
So to the menu.
