That night before dinner there was a special performance by a local group - the Van Anh Fusion Band, Wonderful. Using traditional Vietnamese instruments with modern songs plus dancing. A different MC who was very good.




Now this instrument is based on a Vietnamese lute. The projection in the middle woman's hand turned this into a very good impersonation of an electric guitar.

A bamboo xylophone.






The woman is clapping in front of the bamboo. Simply amazing.

Grab was the most conspicuous of the food delivery, scooter taxi and even rental car markets. this must have been their oldest employee.

I recently saw the phone on tripod influencer/airhead thing several times in Florence.

Yes we came across this quite a bit on our recent UK & Europe trip with these "influencers" hogging sites for ages to get the perfect pic. I usually give them a few minutes then go and stand beside them until they get the message to move on and let others take photos!

As we did in Budapest in particular last December. It was pretty hilarious to watch them shivering in skimpy clothing and distorting into ridiculous poses and adjusting their clothes and accessories so the brand names were obvious to all. But I agree also very annoying the way they comandeered the views with their lights and equipment and tutted at anyone who tried to act like a genuine, daggy tourist.

Dinner in Atlantide.


Mrsdrron started with the scallops and strawberry again as it is one of her favourites whilst I started with the smoked salmon from the evening menu and then the crab bisque.




Mrsdrron then had the lobster. Certainly not as much lobster as in the past.

Whilst I had the fillet. Once again really good.


Then went to the Panorama lounge for a nightcap. The moon was lighting everything up.

For our last day in Saigon I went on the War Relics tour.
