SC earning with Points Club and Award Flights

Do we now know the answer to this question? I have an ADL-CBR U-class flight booked with avios coming up shortly, and the SC's would be very handy in getting to 100 SC's in the current Qantas Status Fast Track offer. I do have my Qantas FF No. in the booking.
Yes, so long as the flight is QFxx_x you’ll be fine.

Do QF award flights for Points Club members count towards the four required QF flights needed to retain Status ?

Does anyone know if SCs for points club come through on classic award upgrade flights? Have just done a SYD-PER originally booked in X and upgraded to U 12 hrs before the flight. The PC SC came through straight after the flight at the rate for X - is this just a matter of timing since the upgrade came through last minute, or are points awarded according to the original booking class?

No, credit is for original booking class only. I had this happen last year with a X->U update to HNL.

And this is just so weird! Particularly given you probably paid more points with the the original classic reward booking, plus the upgrade points, than it would have been had you been able to book the business rewards seat initially, but you miss out on the extra SCs

If @mitti had booked classic reward J in the first place, PC+ SC would have been at the J rate. The same as paying money for Y then upgrading with points, SCs are applied at the original booking rate. With PC+ it is worthwhile only booking classic reward J domestically to keep status. That is, no need to pay actual money for Y seats yet get a better SC outcome.

Does anyone know if you have to be the one flying to earn the SC? Can reward flights booked for family members earn SC under this scheme? Booked a reward seat in J SIN--MEL for the Mrs, booking appeared in my FF account with 48 SC but nothing get posted after the flight.

Qantas only credits to the name of the passenger.

The answer to this question is yes - regardless of Points Club membership, the fare type (cash/award), who arranged the travel, etc.

There is no (legal) way for your partner flying to credit to your QFF SC tally.

The lack of ID checks on domestic flights may lead to thoughts of "Hmm, what if I just booked their flights under my name" but it would be an incredibly silly thing to do for some status credits!

Appreciate the quick replies, very useful information.
Unfortunate for us, the SC also did not credit into the Mrs' account, since she is not a point club member.

Don’t worry; I’m PC+ and have flown five classic reward flights since March 1st and haven’t received SCs for any of them! It’s an uphill battle.

I had a Classic rewards flight and was succesfully upgraded with points, but was only granted SC for economy and not business. Is this normal ?

I then wonder why I didn’t book J in the first place!
Was it available? That’s often the problem.

Golden Rule of PC is to book highest reward fare available if that’s what you’re after! I recently cancelled and rebooked a SYD-CGK CR that only had whY CR seats and pending upgrade request (which probably would have cleared) but 2x J CR seats appeared closer out so I pounced!

QF operates flights? They post almost as quickly as paid flights for me.
QFF forgot to renew my PC status for three months. They finally sorted that after numerous emails and phone calls. The vouchers were then received, but I’m still fighting for the SCs.
