$70. each for breakfast ?? What country was that ??

As for availability, here are the results for spending the Australia Day weekend in Sydney enjoying the festivities!ImageUploadedByAustFreqFly1353544510.595723.jpg

As you can see, plenty of availability from $100 a night.

markis10 - I have just made my booking and I looked at hotels in Darling Harbour, Intercontinental in Sydney and Crowne Plaza Terrigal. Cheapest room rates were $250 and anything a little fancy quickly rose to $400 plus. A king bed with Spa (the only thing available for the BOGOF deal on the Saturday night) was $700. I saw no rooms under $200 even mid-week. This is for a holiday, not business travel so a basic room facing the carpark is not what I want. One of the reasons I would not use this again is that there are usually good rooms at 5 star hotels available on Wotif for $200 or less per night, and when standard promotions from the hotel itself undercut the priority privilege rate what is the point of it. The program is not conducive to generating loyalty as it is too restrictive, risks expiring before you use it and they misrepresent its benefits during the sales process. I have tried to make the best of a regrettable decision to buy it, I wish I had looked at this site during the sales process and I would not have made the purchase. It is not a good deal unless you really want to use this hotel group and know you will use it.

That may have been the case for the weekend you were looking at in one location, but that does not mean rooms are generally $300 or more across the chain as you stated, and as I have shown that is not even the case in Sydney on a long weekend, with the hotels listed not even having rooms that have a car park view! And dont forget the specials where you dont need to use the certificate, in the last year I had membership I got thirty free nights for $299, as someone who uses it for both business and pleasure, that was value, and as I said earlier, I rarely pay above $200.

As with every program, you need to get the most out of it, your short stay of two nights could easily earn you two free nights using the advice here, thats something you wont get with a Wotif booking, which by the way I find hardly the cheapest means to book a room.

No, there are two of us, the breakfast voucher is for two, breakfast is $35 ea hence $70 is the value of the voucher to me. You're are certainly welcome to have it all to yourself.
