Scams like these

I keep getting a spam message claiming to be from Amazon about a canceled order. Hovering produces something like Bolsheviks as the originator. The message has too many doubtful links to bother posting. The supposed supplier changes with every new version.
For the last month or so I have been averaging about one a day, and sometimes up to three a day. Is anyone else getting similar spam?

Yes, I have been getting those too. I never open spam mail, I just delete it. Plus I know I haven't ordered anything from Amazon ;)

So Samantha also wants me to be a slave but Diedre wants me to dominate her.marki though describes exactly what she wants.I have decided to ignore them all.

Has the lovely Katerina been in touch drron ?

I think, that is banal to begin the letter with a word "greetings". It will be boring if I ask "how are you doing?"
I think, that is better to tell simply, I am lonely also I I search for the person to which could open the dreams, the heart, the soul. Also there can be I will find not simply the friend who will understand me, will support, and can and I will find the person which will be close to me. We do not know, that will be in our future. But we precisely know, that we are lonely, and that if we will not be that with it to do, our future will be sad and lonely. And it is sad.
Sadly when there is no the loved one nearby. Which understands you, and the most important thing to appreciate you, and that that you are in his life. And if you as are lonely, and as do not wish to be more than one we could begin dialogue. To make a step which can change our life, and add in it the friend or whom that more than the friend!? Only time and dialogue can to us that that to show.
And if you are ready to make this step, to begin dialogue. That I will be glad to begin it with you.
My name is Katerina, my country Azerbaijan. More I think to speak it is not necessary, because if you will want to learn more that I will see your answer. And then, then I will understand, that you to have interest, instead of to play games.
I will send you the photo, and I wait certainly for yours. You would like to learn whence. And I hope, that it will be the beginning.
And the beginning of that? We learn about it on much later.
I look forward to hearing.
Katerina

I have a gumtree account but up until recently, didn't have an ebay or paypal account. I got a $20 coupon code from gumtree which could be used on ebay but only if you clicked paypal as a method of payment. I decided to use the coupon and ended up getting a paypal account and used the guest checkout on ebay. The coupon worked so I don't think the gumtree email was a scam.

My issue is whether having a paypal account means I am more likely to get scam paypal emails asking me to confirm or change my details etc. I've heard about these scam emails but don't know whether they are just sent randomly trying to find someone with a paypal account or whether the scammers sniff the other email addresses which are used for paypal and target these addresses in the scam emails.

Is there anyone out there who gets pay pal scams but doesn't have a paypal account? What other experiences are out there?

The answer to this is no, having a Paypal account does not make you more of a target.
As you mention they play the odds that you have an account, and email everyone, just like the origin emails, the bank emails etc.

Just be wary, anything that doesn't address you by name is probably a scam.

Another one who has been getting the amazon cancelled order email.

Another email I have been getting email from Trivago, not sure if its spam or just an overactive emailing.

Thanks Mrs.dr.ron & Bundy Bear - it is just that these are the most persistent spam I get & I was wondering if at some stage I had incorrectly opened something or other. Now I know that I have partners in misery I am happier.;)

Yes - getting one or more of these a day... but they go straight into my spam folder... don't even see them but I occasionally go through the spam folder to collect stuff I actually need (not spam).

Not a problem with a good spam filter.

I do need to invest in one of those.

I do need to invest in one of those.

I use free outlook - came across from hotmail. It does a perfect job on real spam, and a 99% job on the rest (sometimes 'safe' mail is junked). Gmail is also pretty good... I can't remember the last time I got spam in the inbox.

Got a call on the landline, from the Indian who said he was calling about "the car accident".
Had the gall to say, that he had called before.
I answered with Namaskar, and the reply Namaskar Vali or something like that, "I am calling from xx_ about the car accident you had", couldn't quite catch the name...
I had called before he dared to say.
I mentioned to him more than once, internet say you are scammer gee, he dared to say he wasn't a scammer.
Click, I put down phone down.
I guess the only way is as soon as you receive a call, is to answer with Namaskar, keep say that, and see, if its someone you know in real life, they will say something, otherwise, if its a scammer/spammer, you know you have made an impression! On them.

Good afternoon .

I received email from the taxation office.

Are you the owner of domain xx_xta.com.au?

They mistakenly accrued tax for me and you.

They sent me this document:

[URL reference to tax office not pointing to the tax office - something about body transformation]

Did you receive this document already?

I am contacting you to solve this problem, because I had never worked in your company.

What should we do? Please answer me as soon as you read the document. My name is Ralph.

Thank you,
Ralph Marlow

...
I got this one the other day. He just didn't acknowledge he was talking with the police station and he was transferred to the traffic branch to discuss. Inspector George Gently just didn't cut it this time. Obviously not a TV viewer.
