Scams like these

easy done so
Marki if you work how to delete your account please post it here.I have been trying to delete mine for over a year.

when logged into linked in go to your picture in the right upper corner and click on it. Menu comes up go to privacy settings and click on it. Then under subscriptions you will find close your account. Presto .......

But getting other people stop saying they are employed by your company requires writing to them or the linked in privacy settings to unfollow or blocking. Its harder but can be done.

It's a bit like Sheldon in the TBBT sometimes you cannot help but knock three times like he does( in reference to the link)

Why do I think this is more to collect email addresses instead of opinions????

Interesting spam email from someone I hadn't contacted in over 10 years.

This is starting to get dirty. How did the spammers get that email address? From my Outlook contacts or my emails? Either way is unacceptable they have got that information from my laptop using my internet connection.

My guess is that they got your email address from your contact's address book on their computer not your computer.

Another slant on interesting emails with a 178k rtf attachment.

Actually I am not into curious activity, since I want to use my computer to continue wandering

So have you done anything on the internet to be curious about? ;)

And people are curious over such a silly email?

The purpose of the spammers is to get you to "CLICK". Curiosity, greed and stupidity (among others) are included in their list of "methods"
As far as silly, consider the past and coming elections in certain "western" countries.

Had a call yesterday. I picked up the phone and foolishly said "Hello". Why would I do that on a telephone!
"Hello sir, this is Geoffrey. How are you today?"
"I am good Geoffrey. How are things in Delhi?"
"Sir I am not in Delhi"
"Oh, where are you then Geoffrey?"
"I am in an office sir"
"Where?"....
click.......
I was really craving some conversation too.

Similar call today from the "Australian Financial Markets offering you the chance to cut your costs significantly."
Oh, where about's are you located?
"St Leonards."
Really, St Leonards, I was just there yesterday, what street?

The trouble here is you are trying to apply rational logic to irrational behaviour. The spammers rely on emotional devices, not logical. So you are unlikely to find a good logical reason for this behaviour.

Can't tell if this is a scam or plain stupidity....

Sounds like one of leaked Democratic National Committee emails - just somewhat MORE sensible. One that was fwded to me had the sender quoting the various passwords she had tried (that work on the other accounts/servers) but won't get me into this one...

Seems Jimmy Carter's peanuts are still around!
