Scams like these

The word has got around.Have had about 20 requests for my CV over the last few days.
Don't know why kpmg.at would want a 70 year old retired physician.
But the request from ebonypleasures.za had me wondering.I don't think my CV would cover the required competencies.

drron that site looks like a good one for a 70 year old retired physician. Maybe a good idea to get Mrsdrron to look it up just in case?

Interesting issue when I tried to report a spam email (Remittance advice from ...) from a set of three... to report at submit.spam.acma.gov.au

Mail server refused to forward due to virus infected attachment. Which was the reason I wanted to send it...

Happy wandering

I got a series of 'FedEx' emails not unlike this one over the last few months and ignored them. It wasn't until a letter arrived from a debt collector that I paid attention.

They were really from FedEx :!:

Even the phone numbers and bank acc numbers sounded dodgy.

Someone I know at Piddo's Armidale put in a good word for you.

Just had my second phone scam in 2 days. Yesterday was a motor accident several months ago and compensation was due ... blah blah blah. Never been in a accident for a long time. Just moments ago Telstra called apologising about the disruption and would like to refund some money to my credit card. I politely told him where to go.

One for today:

Dear QF WP,

I am checking in to find out if you had the chance to send A$ 1,977.82 for the invoice no.SP/00015086 . We realize that invoices are missed occasionally, so there is no problem if you could just close it today or by the end of the week.

Find your invoice with IPP Consulting enclosed.

Kind Regards,
Gregory.

The fact that the business is actually located in Brisbane, yet their phone appears to be in Sydney (but isn't valid) and that the address is Adelaide doesn't instil me with a lot of confidence in the business, plus the email was from Gregory Clark <[email protected]> seems to indicate a number of flaw in their email. They did get a real address, wonder what made them think of it?

The word doc attachment hasn't been opened, sorry guys

Todays strange one.

Part of the email said it would expire the 30SEPT2016.

I wait for Brian to contact me another way.

Had similar the morning, but from "8M Media and Communications", with same type of variances - company in WA, office address given as NSW, Phone number in Victoria, email address of author aussiebob2011 at bigpond.com, Word attachment contains no meaningful invoice.

If their English skills (ie grammar etc) improved remarkably it would be scary.
