'Scheduled System Outage' all weekend

Up for me, and our domestic flights from Wednesday morning STILL not posted for me, or our flights from yesterday, or several Etihad flights taken days back, to be pooled to me. NADA. 100s of SC total.

Seems like there are still major issues. :(

The biggest issue for me is that the multi-city function still appears to be not working.
They have had plenty of time to fix it and it just isn’t good enough

Not being able to book multi city on same travel date?

Given the upgrade occurred, it's normal for interfaces and regular processing to also be down over that time.

It's likely those will now be processed since it's restarted so it will likely come through in the next couple of days. Not a big deal or "major issue".

So, has anything (customer facing) actually changed/been improved on the Velocity website over the weekend?

I was going to ask the same thing. The two apps (Virgin Aus and Velocity) are now synced for me (they weren't before). My points total is also up-to-date (as in the Flybuys conversions came through). My upcoming flights are still showing in the Virgin Aus app. (I only log in to the website if I have a flight booking to make.) I can't see anything significant UI change for me...

Can't see anything, but maybe its in preparation for something significant to come - like 2FA?

My 2 J flights on the morning of Wed 26th posted same day, but not the afternoon flights, which got mucked up and re-booked. But the compo points for that muck up posted on the 28th :)

Lovely streamlined update. Gotta luv 'progress'.

Still no points for flights from Wednesday, but at least an 9,000 hour layover in MEL looks very enticing. That's over a year - hope they toss in some free AFL seats? :(

So I rang Virgin because all my bookings have now evaporated off the app and they could not do anything but said there widespread issues and complaints coming in, so whatever ‘enhancements’ have been done have stuffed up other functions too… 😠

I was on the phone to Asia for 40 mins over something routine this arvo and got sick of the usual game of 'if we keep going in circles long enough this one will lose the will to live as well' (they'd win Olympic Gold Medals in this event - Friday it was 90 mins of same time wasting reading off scripts) and politely asked to be patched thru to an Australian based agent.

Someone in Brisbane finally came on line after another 10 min delay. While online asked him to allocate a seat on a Dec 24 flight. Was not game to play with new buggy website 'upgrade' that he admitted was causing wide issues today.

He says the earliest row possible to allocate was row 7. WHAT THE ?????

Went to Virgin website, did a dummy booking and saw near all seats down to row 7 were EMPTY. FIVE FULL rows of 6 among them. Pointed that out and he again said that was 'not what he saw'.

Suggested he tries to book specific seat X as the entire row appeared unallocated and with an almost audible sigh he does that, and exclaims = 'amazing - that was actually possible'

Wish I'd recorded it - it makes Aeroflot look good lately. You just can't make this stuff up.

This is the sort of thing I was apprehensive about, as mentioned in an earlier post.

Mods, if you think I'm going OT then please rein me in, but ...

About two years ago a publisher that I use to market/distribute/sell my titles decided - and not in response to any customer dissatisfaction - to update and modernise their web site. When it came back up it was a complete disaster and took months to fix. This is what happens when you go live with rhings like this.

A more cautious approach would have been to have kept the old site going while testing the update with a small sample of customers!

I normally auto TF Flybuys into Veloicty....I have 10K (recent promo) in my Flybuys acct....will this automatically TF to Velocity or do I need to manually do this now?

I'm in a similar position ... my FB settings say autotransfer is enabled still, but it ain't happening. I'm inclined to wait another day or so and then try for manual.
