Scoot will launch 3x weekly flights from Singapore to Vienna from 3 June 2025 using the Boeing 787. Flights from Australia start from $399 one-way (e.g. PER-SIN-VIE).

Quite an interesting route IMHO. It's not currently served by any airline.

This is the schedule:

TR708 SIN 0300 - VIE 1010
TR709 VIE 1125 - SIN 0450 (+1 day)

Runs on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

This will replace the SIN-BER route, which will not run beyond the end of the current IATA northern winter period.

Ugly connections to SYD most days, particularly on the return (most frequent TR002 is an 0210 departure so 21hr layover, other than on the Sat/Sun flight where you have TR020)
Though $1200 fares to Europe will attract some.

I believe the last time this route was served was an interesting VIE-SIN-MEL OS operated direct flight with fifth freedom from SIN, which was terminated in 2007. I think there was also an OS VIE-KUL-SYD too…

Initially I thought maybe TR figured it would have better EU onward connections than BER…but in Scoot’s media release they seem to think the demand will be from Eastern EU tourism, “Its central location makes it an excellent gateway to explore Eastern Europe and an ideal starting point for multi-city European adventures on scenic road trips. Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, is just 50 kilometres away from Vienna Airport, while Budapest, Hungary and major cities in Czechia, Croatia, and Slovenia are all within a three-hour drive”
