Has anyone attempted to use these Scoot fares with the Jetstar price beat guarantee? Would the Scoot Biz seat be a comparable fare to Starclass?

Jetstar wont price beat because its not the same route, as they dont do SIN-SYD.

Jetstar sell a SYD-SIN fare on the same dates... I assume you mean that as this entails non-direct flight that it isn't a comparable fare?

JQ only price match direct routes: The other airline’s flight must be a direct flight for the exact route departing and arriving at the same airports as the Jetstar flight

Thanks for the clarification - saving a phone call to the hopeless JQ 'customer service' number.

I guess we'll have to wait for our next holiday to access the SYD F lounge :|

I suspect Business seats: (my AU$245 was conservative - it was probably less)

Yeah - SGD321 ex SIN and AUD321 ex OOL/SYD.

(SGD321 is ~AUD245)

Look at the bright side - at least this decreases the chances of JQ doing more SYD-SIN services, and therefore also increases the chances that QF would stick with flying that route (not that even they'd be crazy enough to drop SYD-SIN services!)

I don't know how well the QF5/6 SIN/FRA sectors are doing, although if they were ever to drop these, I would presume that they would drop the SYD/SIN part as well, and replace it with a JQ A333 to supplement the current QF flight doing the rounds to LHR.
