Confirmed booking for Glenfiddich Pioneer tour. Visit the Glenfiddich Distillery. Fully Explore Single Malt Whisky.

4hrs and get to drink the below:
Glenfiddich 12 Year Old
Glenfiddich 15 Year Old
Glenfiddich 18 Year Old
Glenfiddich 21 Year Old
Glenfiddich Cask Sample

My poor husband, I dont drink alcohol so he has to drink my share as well.

Me to boss: I guess he can just spit it out, like they do during wine tasting.
My boss: He is NOT going to spit out 21yr whisky!
No, no. Means he gets the glasses and you get to drive!:) (And the driver usually gets a small bottle to take away so he’ll win on both counts.)

I may have mentioned this before and it is a very odd recommendation but when you are at Glenfiddich make sure you visit the ladies room to the left of the tour reception. It has to be seen to be believed.

Got the last of our hotel bookings done and yesterday purchased our Historic Scotland membership for all the bloody castles.

Just waiting for Avis Prestige prices to drop so I can book the car and Im done with planning and already thinking about 2019.

Hubby finally made a decision, its Jag over Audi but the 3ltr V6.

 How do people drive in that!

Must admit, wished I allowed more time for the Scottish Boarders.

Doing Scottish Borders in May (another Jaguar I think!) . What are the DNM thinks to see/look at/drink/eat/Stay?
Recommendations welcome.

I like the look of Dryburgh & Melrose and Sweetheart Abbey. Dont think we're going to get as far as Sweetheart Abbey.

Abbottsford House which was the home of Sir Walter Scott, near Galashiels. If your into motorbike, try the Wilton Park Museum in Hawick it has a Jimmie Guthrie and Steve Hislop exhibitions and have an afternoon walk around the park which is beside the river. Stay at Balcary House, eat at the Night Safe Bistro. If your are after Cashmere knitwear, try Hawico or Johnston, but Hawico is better (PM for directions).

London to Edinburgh?

Reminds me of the Ghan, wonder what the cabins are like.

Half your luck Amaroo, my swmbo arrives home and vows never to leave.. ( starting the next campaign)

Ouch. Approx $9K for 2 nights per couple. Its a bucket list item as you'll only do it once.

So hes my question to those that care about the car they are driving...

Would you blow the car budget for a Jaquar E-Pace R Dynamic or keep to the Jag XE S 3.0 V6?

Nope. Reviews and not too flattering. Go for the XE. Handles much better. V6 is quite fast. Or even downgrade to the XE 2.0 if you want to save a little bit.

Opposite Waldorf Astoria (staying here for 2 nights) is a Kyloe steakhouse and they have a 20% discount coupon for first visit.

I guess we'll leave a 20% tip if its as good as we hope.
It’s a good steakhouse. Been there twice and will go back next trip. Yes they have the discount and it’s Scotland so there’s no need for a tip. (Service charges - technically optional - will be added to your bill usually.)
