Are they serious?
They might as well just say, don’t rely on us, Qantas would be happy to book your flights from now on :-|
Are they serious?
Woman near by me in CBR QP complaining loudly on her mobile that she has had to buy an expensive last minute QF fare earlier today because of DJ problems.
That's specifically referring to flights that were delayed but still flew. You send them the email and they give you a credit voucher as a sorry for the delay sometime in the next week. Seems reasonable to me.Are they serious?
27 SEPTEMBER 2010: The Virgin Blue Group of Airlines is pleased to advise that our airport check-in and boarding systems are back online and will be operating as normal from the first flights of the day today (Monday, 27 September 2010).
While all check-in processes are back to normal, the airline requests the ongoing patience of guests this morning as we work through flow on effects of yesterday’s network-wide disruption.
While we hope for minimal delays today, we do ask all guests prior to going to the airport to check our website which will be updated with information on any cancellations or changes to scheduled operations.
...went up to the (almost empty) DJ lounge, had a couple of beers ...

It's been upgraded to "Major Incident" at Virgin Blue.
Bit suprised there has been no 'refund' talk from DJ, it's only been a 'credit shell' for flights and accomm, AFAIK.
I think getting credit is a good thing. You could have just gotten a chance to rebook your current flight and that's it.
Of course, had we been in EU, an offer of a refund would have been almost mandatory.
However, justifies the sick feeling in my stomach I get when on the odd occasion I have to fly DJ.
I'm interested in why their back up systems didn't work and how reportedly JQ had the same issue but recovered within minutes? (according to sky no news and no news admittedly as my sources!)
