This was from a WP perspective. Notice that 71D is already gone 11 months down the track so somebody is keen. It may be worth paying for the exit row upstairs as there's only two seats on the side & it's a much cheaper option than paying for PE or doing a status run to go from NB to PS when that won't help you.

Thanks for your time and reply ozbeachbabe.

Does the QF A380's still provide a live 'tail cam' as part of the IFE service?
If so, my interest and preference to view/use this feature during the take off and landing procedures probably outweighs the benefits of selecting an exit row seat on a personal level.

(I overlooked stating this point in my original post of this thread to help explain the perhaps unusual specifics of my info requests)

Although thanks, an exit row seat in the upper is good future-advice.

For what it is worth these are the search results I get as a NB:

Yes the QF A380 tail cam is operational during take off and landing. Loved watching it from F recently.

Good advice from all above. One other point - have you considered paying for Qantas Club membership rather than paying extra for flights to gain SCs? I believe it's around $600pa. I'm not sure if it gives improved seat selection on flights but lounge access makes the travelling experience so much better.

Thanks for the thought Mike65. That is an option I have not yet considered.
Cheers

Admirals Club - Membership Fees And Privileges

Lounge access via QC bets idea. Silver does give you pre seat selection over bronze. but Qnatas Club better.

Thanks for your replies ozbeachbabe and aliens.
Admirals Club membership is an option I'll look into.
Good to know Silver QFF status does enable a more enhanced pre seat selection choice, something I will keep in mind for the next membership year.

Regards.
