Both hubby and I have taken advantage of this offer this weekend but interestingly enough, I have received emails regarding my spend while he has not. But in his account it says that he has used the offer so I guess it will go through in a day or so :)

Maxed out our cards on the weekend and got emails for everything, fortunately didn't have to go out of our way to spend - a lot of restaurants included in the offer

I'm sure all the bottle shops in my area think I'm mad...

Although the one guy that did ask "why?" was impressed that I was getting $30 off a case of Stone and Wood.

All mine came through immediately.
Hit with a 1.5% surcharge (0.30) on the last one - so only saved $29.70

The next small shop is coming!

Just saw on OzBargain that the next small shop (the month long one) is scheduled for the end of October:

In preparation for that I was thinking of getting some supplementary AMEX cards to increase the small shop benefits.

I have a Qantas AMEX Premium Card. I'm assuming that if I apply for supplementary cards that these cards come with different numbers so I can register them separately from my own account?

And I assume I have to actually set them up with their own account so they can register for these types of offers?

Or is this something that's not possible?

How many supplementary cards can you get with the Amex Explorer card? Edit;: just checked...4! :)

I wasn't actually aware of this. So for my Explorer and Edge cards, I can actually register 4 times (counting the 2 sups) for shop small etc?

Yes, the same number as for the Qantas AMEX Premium Card.

But for me it's of no use to get the supplementary cards unless they have different numbers to the primary card and can be registered separately for the different AMEX offers like small shop.

They're different numbers and requires separate registration unlike the bank issued ones.

A quiet one for me this time around. I only bothered registering one card out of a possible eight. Only made two eligible spends, and one of those was an unexpected bonus - Bliss at Pialligo.

Thanks. So i couldn't do the same thing with my NAB Qantas Platinum card?

Supplementary holders with NAB get a different card number (unlike CBA & Westpac who still don't offer this feature) so you should be able to register them separately for Separate credits.
