If we are making requests for sim cards - any thoughts on sim cards and micro sims (for the ipad) in India?
It's been 2 years since I was in India last but after the Mumbai Bombings they locked down the mobile network and you had to be an Indian National to buy a SIM card when I was there last. It used to be so easy to do it. I had someone buy one for me. Then all you need is a micro SIM card cutter and the sim should work in an iPad as long as you can activate it.

So it is!! That'll teach me to look at the date of the post!!
No worries.

For what it's worth I got a sim in India in Jan without too many hassles. The biggest problem was getting it to actually work properly. I had to get my nephew to have some heavy discussions in Hindi with them :!:

This is also what I ended up doing in the Netherlands via Vodafone with a pre-paid sim that could be topped-up anytime online.
